Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 335 and 336

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Was it Alicia or Alina? My daughter is Alina.

No calls anyone? Am I the only one who thought they might get to call today? Still early yet I guess. : /

I got a letter today from 336!! I was glad to read her voice!!

Alright, by the sounds of it our SR's are needing our support so I propose we all make a special effort to send very positive and encouraging letters this week.  Try to include something funny to lift their spirits.  I personally know my son is fond of the cartoon strip Calvin and Hobbs so I am going to send him a few of those.

And I made a list of his friends that will be heading to college soon.  This weekend I am taking a bunch of blank paper and a big marker around for them to make a personal sign.  Then I will take pictures of them holding their sign.  I was going to ask them to write too, but I know teenagers text, they don't write letters.  I figured the signs would be close to sending a text.

Any other ideas?  These young men and women need to know we know they are tough as steel and we are so very proud of them.

Have a great week and happy letter writing!

Have not received a call from my SR in a couple of weeks.  I know that say that no news is good news but going crazy here.  She is ship 14 div 335 and I am wondering if this is the norm right now or if this is unusual.  :( Just ready for PIR so I can hug her!

Flo'sMom:  Very normal.  Some divisions get to call more than others.  My son happened to be in two different ones since he was asmoed (setback) for a week when there.  The first division allowed him a good number of calls (was in it for about 4-5 weeks), but the second division that he went into to finish training (different PIR group) allowed very few calls.  So it just depends on the RDCs in a division.  No News is Good News in the Navy...usually!

Thank you!  I thought that was possible but wanted to make sure.

Yep that was my last call...Thank you!

C'mon div 335! you can call anytimeeeee now!

Got my Call! I have a sailer!

Hi!
Had a 38 minute phone call from my recruit today! He is in div 336... Passed battle stations, dead tired from being up for 36 hours, but was sharpshooter in the live fire... Looking forward to next Friday!!!!
