DK, how WONDERFUL! I feel your joy sister!!!
@ TNPoliceWife - Ummm...I remember something about a homemade SAUCE from grandma's secret recipe? I had to come back & see if you posted it yet? :)
White Clay, Ugh... I am sooo sorry!!!  I haven't forgotten, just haven't had a chance to post it, I was going to make is Sunday and measure everything so I;d have exact measurements, but I ended up not making it. I will get it up just as soon as I can!! :)
No worries!  I'm trying to get my taxes done b/c youngest kid goes to college in fall, and her school requires we send copies of 1040 to financial aid office BY April 15, or you lose half of your aid. Now that's motivation to get them done! So...no homemade sauce for me until then! I think I already posted some suggestions for you all re: grad, but Residence Inn-Waukegan is only 10 min from base, and Navy rate is $134/night for a 2 BR, 2 Bath suite with pullout sofa, plus you can request rollaway, full kitchen (basic pots, dishes, utensils, oven, micro, DW), living room which is great to hang out. If you would need 2 rooms anyway, that comes to $67 per room, plus free light dinner Sun-Thurs night, full HOT breakfast buffet. The best part was the living room gave us a place to hang out, and our sailor could take a shower, we could snack, people could take a nap if needed, and there were 2 baths! We had two of my son's shipmates who didn't have family hang out with us after grad until time to take them back for curfew, and then the next morning before we dropped them at the train to go to Chicago. That gave us the rest of Sat and Sunday AM with our son alone, which was nice. I still write to the girl (28, Japanese/American) and guy (18, Egyptian/American). It was a blessing to be "family" for them!
Girls.. Robin just set up a Meet and Greet PIR 5/6 page... if any of you are going.. well you ALL are going right?!?!?!?  :)  You can go there and RSVP and chat! :)
how do i get to that page?
I cant wait....We will be heading to Illinois in 29 days. Then 30 days until we see our sailors!!! WooHoo!!
My plane gets in at 5:28 if there are no delays.  So I will be at the meet and greet! Should be at the hotel at 6 or so.  Can't wait to meet you all!
My letters have been coming on Thursday or Friday!! Hoping its Thursday this week!!

my mail comes on Thursdays, and unfortunately tomorrow I'll be in Brooklyn at the Recruit place to fill out our health insurance stuff and get my ID card, but I'll be running to the mailbox after I get home!

I'm glad your son is doing well! =)

DK, we'll have to take a survey at the Meet and Greet and see who talked more, girls or boys! :)  LOL

My SR said that some of the girls were very immature and thought it was summer camp/social hour.. oy vey!  :/

I'll get a letter tomorrow! :)

I feel like this week is not as much fun for letters because my husband told me everything on the phone when I spoke to him on Friday.  I hope there's something more in there, like he tells me how gorgeous I am or something. (He writes WAY nicer then he talks LOL)
