Just got my recruits address and found out he is in Ship 6 DIV 947.  Anyone else have a loved one in this division?

I totally agree! My son loved color guard in NJROTC. He was Color Guard Commander at leadership academy as well as during his senior year of high school. I am believing that being able to participate in something like this is helping him, helping to motivate him through those rough moments.
Tenn Navy Mom - hopefully you will get word soon that he knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that he made the right decision. You must be so proud that, as hard as it was for him to not go with his friends into the Army, that he stayed the course in order to pursue HIS dreams for his life. I hope we hear something from them soon! Never been a nail biter ... but I could easily become one in anticipation from some word that all is well ... that my "baby" is adjusting! :-)
My daughter was in the Blue Jacket Choir. PIR 7-23 What an amazing honor. I could hear her voice and recognize it when they sang. It was a beautiful moment I will never forget. If anyone has questions about the choir or anything else just let me know.
I am very proud of her :) And I miss her so much. The 7 hours we spent together after PIR is the only time I have seen her since she left in May. I am going to Pensacola this weekend to see her and I am very excited about that. I can't wait to just sit down and talk about everything that has been happening in her life.
Exactly where can we watch these ceremonies? Is there a link on this site somewhere?
Thanks for your help. I am pretty new to this site.
I wasn't able to find anyone with a video until after PIR and now I have my own copy of PIR so I can watch it as often as I want. I was able to find a pic of the choir on Recruit Training commands face book page and I also asked moms in the 2 PIR groups before hers that if anyone could get a couple pics of the choir and come back and post them that I would be the happiest mom in the world. They were so happy to do it and I got several pics of her in her Dress White uniform. It was awesome. :)
Thanks Tenn Navy Mom. Just overly anxious about getting that first
letter I guess. Is anyone else staying at the Residence Inn for the graduation
weekend?
No letter here either. I had really hoped for one today. When I went to the mailbox, it was empty. I just stared in it, partially in disbelief and partially thinking staring would make a letter appear somehow. Wondering, since our division has more to do if they have less time to write? Any thoughts?
No letter here either. Keep watching for one but no such luck yet. Anyone else in div 947 get
any letters yet? Just getting impatient waiting to hear how she is doing...
DIV 947 here. no letter yet.
Hey everyone. I was made aware that we had a couple of our recruits first and last names on here, and for security purposes we are advised not to do that. For the safety of the recruits, I was asked to delete those couple of comments. Just wanted to let you know so you didn't wonder where they went and to remind us all that anyone can jump on here, and for safety reasons we are asked to not use last names.
Thanks for the heads up Honnalora.
