Just got my recruits address and found out he is in Ship 6 DIV 947.  Anyone else have a loved one in this division?

No letter at my house either. So, I told my son that if he didn't write a bunch of letters my feelings wouldn't be hurt. That I wanted him to concentrate on doing his best and not to worry about us here at home. Hope I can live up to those statements!
When my son expressed his concern over having time to write, I asked that he try to make time to write even 2 sentences .... even as simple as "I am okay and this is great" so we wouldn't worry. Hoping for even a "hey" ... that would put me on cloud nine! But on a serious note, I am wondering if since they are in div 947 if they have time to write since they do have additional responsibilities. It has been the absolute longest 18 days in history!
I would LOVE to have just a line or two. The few lines on the form letter were like gold! I don't need much, just something. I am willing to cut him a little slack because they are in a 900 division. They must be extra busy. Since none of us have gotten letters, I am going to go with too busy or too tired as a group.
I have not gotten any mail from my daughter yet either. We were told it would be three weeks also before we heard anything. That doesn't keep me from checking the mail as soon as I can everyday. Still feel a little let down when nothing is there. Oh well, hopefully it will be soon!
Whether it it true or not, I do not know but it does sound logical. My son's recruiter asked me Friday (FB friend) if we have heard anything yet so evidently it is getting close to time to hear from our babies! Hopefully this is our week ... even if it is only a sentence or two.
As far as I know, none of us have heard from our loved ones in ship 6 Div 947. It has been 3 weeks today since my son left. He reported to MEPS on August 9th. That day he was at the Indianapolis airport around 1:30pm. It was that evening that we got the "I'm here" call. I guess I was hoping for something before now because his box and form letter seemed to come so quickly, just a matter of days. I was a bit depressed when I did a little recon mission in the PIR date 10/15 and found that several of them had gotten letters. As much as I wish we all had letters from our recruits, I am glad to know I am not the only one alone. Let's just keep praying!
My daughter reported to MEPS on August 10th. She flew out of Columbus that day about 3:30pm. I was also surprised that we got the box and form letter so quickly. Just secretly hoping we would have heard something by now. But I keep hearing no news is good news. Maybe this week will be our lucky week and we will hear from them. Goodluck....
3 weeks ago today my firstborn twin was sworn in as Midshipmen for Navy, started orientation for college, that afternoon the second born twin was turned over to his recruiter to be delivered to New Orleans before reporting to MEPS the next morning. It has been a very long three weeks. When I checked the mail Friday, I broke down ... had gotten my hopes up. Of course, I went back and checked again Saturday, just in case. MAYBE this week ... Meanwhile, let's not forget to pray for each other.
I am praying for all of recruits and their families....
You just reminding me of the conversation I had with my daughter. She did SAY she Should be able to call in about 3 weeks.... Oh maybe we well get one real soon! Praying.....
Well another day... Hopefully today will be the day for a letter.
That makes me proud! I know my daughter is doing great! I'm so looking forward to a letter, but knowing that she was selected (with only 7% getting selected) wow thats a mom's barging rights!.. LOL Please anyone that gets a letter from ship 6 div 947 let me know... Thanks and I well do the same... Prayers for peace in your life's to all.
