I received a letter from my Daughter today. She tells me that her division (948) has ben moved from Ship 06 to Ship 02. Anyone else hear this?
Hi there! I'm not surprised at all...in my son Davon's letter last week, he told me that the ship number may change, so to watch out for it on his letters...
Got my letter today. My son's ship changed to Ship 2, still Division 948. Seems they are doing renovations on the Constitution. Wonder if all our kids will move together?

Two letters today!!!

More later.......
Just today....wondering if they are ALL moving togther? Same news for me.....Ship 6 changed to ship 2.....
Got a letter from Davon! YUP, Ship 2 also.... :D ; oh, and the address changed too, but still DIV 948.... :D
I would think you could contact her recruiter; that's how I got Davon's location even before his 1st letter arrived. And, I agree with you - I hope they forward the one's we've sent before we got the chance to send it to the right place! I would think so...cuz my last letter went out to Davon on Tuesday.
Forgot to ask....my son specifically talked about Garrett on this ship. I have the last name also but, know that I'm not supposed to use it. Wondering if any of you are Garrett's family? The initial of the last name is K. If so, my son knows him and we have a connection!
More news in my son's letter today that he specifically asked me to post. Here it is...."Mom, please tell all the other moms, dads, girlfriends and family NOT to send ANY treats! Nothing!! Some of the guys keep gettting stuff and they keep getting in trouble. They make us all do extra PT for little things like that, so please pass the word to all the moms out there!"

I'm thinking it is probably coming from family members that don't visit these boards as they are filled with warnings not to send anything but hey, my son sounded desparate to have me post that so I will do just about anything at this point! :)
I agree...Davon practically yelled it in his very first letter: "ONLY LETTERS AND PICS - NO FOOD!", and also said they get in trouble, yelled at, etc. Poor things, not their fault - the officers just shouldn't let them have it!!!
I didn't get my letter today like the rest of you : ( but in my son's last letter, he said they would be moving and that he would send the new address. He also said that they would forward any mail that comes to the old ship address. so don't worry about your mail getting there. I do need the new address, if one of you would please email me the new address, I would really appreciate it. (Don't post it on here.....make sure you email me) Feel free to send me a friend request. Thanks
I also haven't heard about the new address or if my son is in a different "ship". Hoping to get a letter today or tomorrow with the news from him. His recruiter told me when he left that they do forward the mail if their ship and or division changes.
I was really hoping if I wrote that I had not received a letter that one would come and it worked:) I was thrilled to see a letter in our mailbox. I'm surprised that I actually waited till getting inside the house to read it. I think I was scared the wind would take it from me:) My son is also now on Ship 02 with a different mailing address. I hope everyone else has received a letter. It's so good to hear from them!
