Smiles from Arkansas ~ Tammie

yall i got an eight page letter today!!! happy happy happy happy happy after twelve hour work days mon-fri since last week (state gov't---yay). honestly started crying when i got home & just Saw the envelope sitting there. life is good! :)
I received another letter which contained a letter for every day.  He calls it his Journal to Mom and Dad.  Say's they are receiving mail but that he had not received any not that he was saying this to make us write but he realizes it sucks not to get any mail.  Well he should have received all our mail by now because this is thurs. and I was sending as soon as I got the address for the form letter.  He stated that this division needs a lot of work including him (alot of IT) almost everyday.  But he also thanks me for helping him study his book before he left because he has not missed a question during inspection.  He says he answers loud and proud.  Makes a mom feel good when they say thanks.  Well got to go I hope you ladies are receiving your letters and are as proud of them as I am.

I love my letters - but I just got my phone call!  I almost missed it - I was just walking in the door and I was gonna let the machine pick up, but for some reason I grabbed it!

I am so excited!  My son sounded good.  He misses home, but he's OK.  He's getting used to the routine, but doesn't like to iron his clothes!!

HIP HIP HOORAY!  Received my phone call today wow, letter and a phone call in one day.  I am on cloud 9.  My son is the most wonderful young man a mother could hope for.  Said he needed me to know that he was ok....  In his letter he said he was having teeth pulled and that was to be on monday.  Did not want me to worry about him.  I could have talked for longer but they were only given 30 miniutes.
We mom's think alike because I told him the same thing.  I told him to just keep paying attention and do what is needed to keep that from happening.  I also told him to help others because they are a team and you pass on what you have learned.
We got our phone call today too. He was able to reach us both at work. I felt bad because I kind of cut it short. He is VERY HOMESICK but doing ok. He said they are keeping them busy. I almost didn't recognize his voice and I think it was because he had already talked to his dad and was teary. I was just glad to hear his voice again. He got 7 of our letters in one day so I think that helped. He did say something about their division in one of his letters that made a reference to pulling it together. I hope nothing gets delayed!
does anyone know if this division will be grad&go?  my bf wasn't sure when he called yesterday..

I also got may call yesterday and was pleasantly surprised.(she had told us, in her letter ,she would get her call sometime after Friday).  I am so glad that I carry my phone with me wherever I go otherwise I would have missed hearing her voice. She has passed all her tests so far. She sounds good and much more mature than when she left.

My daughter is on Ship 9 Div 134. I was hoping to be able to talk w/ someone else whose daughter or son is on the same.  I am new to this group/chat and such so don't know how to go about talking with people on here.

hi!  welcome to the group. :)  my boyfriend is in this division...so it's nice to hear from people that are going through the same situation.

hope all is well!
