I got a letter today!!! It was soooooooo much better then the last one. Heck week was really extra hard on TN. He said they are down to 76!!! It must have been hard for the count to go down even more. He said ROY BOY and him sing as they work!! I wonder if the rest of 087 likes to hear them! lol He told about the Ice cream screaming party!!! Now I see why he was down. He also got bad news too. He said 087 is really got it all together. Also said that Monday was 5-1. Ladies the way I think this might happen is 087 will be the 1st to do BC21. If this is right and they pass first time they get more free time in the Ricky Room. I hope so. These guys have been through so much. I have seen other divs and I have not seen where any have been less numbers starting out. Our guys deserve a little extra R& R, don't you think? Of course I AM a lilttle partial to the 087!!! lol lol  Ok who is next? Tell one Tell all!!!

Who is B from TX? He is the one who drew a pic of TN!!!  Oh these are the flags 087 has:

Schooner, Weapons, Marching, A , and Star Flag,  Don't knpw if I spelled the first one right. HOOYAH!!!! GO 087!!!

Tomorrow just 15 more days!!!!!!!!!

I am on one of the UPS on the rollercoaster tonight can anyone tell!!!!!!!!  One BIG OLD HAPPY TURTLE!!!!

Hey Little Turtle. Good to see you back here:)  I think your letter hit it right on the money.  It seems to sum up what I've been reading in my son's letters.  Definite highs and lows for 087...Based on Monday being 5-1 and the BS21's schedule of PIR 3/9, our guys should have BS around 3/8.  We are getting so close.!!

Our Sailor Calls are right around the corner.  They have worked so hard, they deserve real "ice cream" and extra R&R.  I have not received a letter yet this week but you will all hear about it when I do:)  Good nite all!

Thank you ladies for sharing your letters! It sure helps to know what's going on, even if it's from someone else's kid lol. Hey littleturtle, you know it's so funny - I've been meaning to ask you if your son sings. I had a feeling he did. My son loves country music. I've actually been praying for the comfort of music for him this whole time.I don't know why I didn't mention it. I can't tell you how much that touched my heart tonight, and I was amazed that you thought to write about it - it was just for me! It's proof that God loves us and cares about the little things in our lives. I hope I get the chance to thank your son personally. Um...can I make a request? Can your son sing Calling Baton Rouge by Garth Brooks? My family is from Louisiana.

Well......I don't know if he knows that song or not. I got on the net today after reading your post and got the words for that song. I wrote a note at the bottom that "Roy Boy" and him Had to sing it for your SR!!! The way he is if he don't know it he'll try anyway just to cheer someone up!! He don't care. I am just so glad he has such good friends in his division. One of the things he said he missed was his music. So I guess he just sang if he couldn't have the real thing.  HEY, if he don't know maybe YOUR SR can sing it!!!  Love our boys!! yes I meant to say OUR BOYS it has a new meaning now.

I got the most amazing letter today.  Our guys are doing so great.  My son did say that he had been sick with a viral infection that was going around but with alot of meds and light duty for 2 days he was getting well fast. They had a busy week last week with Marlinspike (w/zero violations), simulated weapons (my son took a ribbon and a medal--woohoo!!) and Test #2 (he didn't say what that was) but said that everyone in the division passed!  They also passed their marching/drill inspection.

On Thursday, they were fitted for their dress uniforms and had their first set of pictures taken.  They have earned every flag possible so far.  This week was gas chamber and firefighting and a week from tomorrow is BattleStations.  He said their next call is after BS on Friday, the 9th but that can change w/o warning.  Keep your phones close on the afternoon of the 9th!!!   Just think in one week we will be getting the "I'm A Sailor" call!!

I just wanted to share this with all of you.  It was such a relief for me to hear that these tests are not getting to our guys--they are making them strong, amazing young men.

P.S. He said "it sounds like all you moms are staying connected pretty well".  N4M's must be the topic of conversation. LOL

I love it!

This is so unreal is seems!!! BS21 hopefully will be NEXT WEEK!!! I have heard a little about the other divisions and they don't seem to be going as good. One got I think 22 vialetions on  Marlinspike. Sorry for the spelling. I am a bad speller and spell ck is out. Are the only ones to get letters this week?  GO 087 GO 087!!!!!

Roy Boy is my boyfriend! He loves to sing even if he don't know how, especially country!  Not too much longer before we see them all :)

Lexi Lynn- So glad to hear from you.  I have been thinking about you, especially when I see "Roy Boy"  being mentioned.  You got a good guy!  I hope you are holding up and doing well.

It makes me happy to hear all the good news. 2 weeks!

Robin thats what my son said to only 5 more things to do then graduation but he got his orders and he gets to come home for 10 days oh man I cried so much when i read that i truly cant wait for the 17th so i can put my arms him again im so excited

Oh Candy, that is great news!!! I know that's not happening with my son.  He is going straight to SC on Saturday:(  but he is doing so great that I'm ok with it.  You must be on a cloud!!  I am tearing up just knowing how happy this makes you.  HUGS to you girl....
