has anyone recieved a letter from their son or daughter yet?
is there a certain time we can expect one, it's my one and only
so maybe i am a bit nervous.
Join the group, PIR 04/13/12, to connect with others with loved ones who are training with your SR. It is often about 3 weeks before you receive the first real letter from your SR, but you will receive the form letter by about the the second week, so you willbe able to begin sending letters then. I also suggest that you join, or at least check out, these groups: Boot Camp Mom's, PIR Reference Information, and New Members Stop Here.

I can't thank you enough for that information. I have been going out of my mind.
I did join the PIR 04/13/12 group.
Hey Lori, We too are from Naples, our SR is Tony. He had told us he was going to Great Lakes with one other person from here. We will be going to the PIR also and like you we are counting down the days. We will be staying at Navy Lodge by the base.
Our son is Dylan. We also will be staying at the Navy Lodge. This is my first time
so I was extremely nervous now I feel better as I read more. Now just to recieve that
I posted a link to the survival guide on your page. Click MY PAGE on the above menu bar. Links to just about everything and anything is in the survival guide. Watch the videos. Be sure to look at the info on the RTC site.
No letter for me yet, just the forn letter which I recieved this past Tuesday. I am not too worried. Pretty sure most people have waited at least 2 weeks for their first letters. I am just trying to keep in mind that my Husband is there for a reason and needs to focus on that. I have sent him a letter everyday since recieving his address and have family and friends writing him also to help keep his spirits up.
