Yes, that sounds great! Just a little more than a month!
Got that second call this morning! He sounded tired, but he had 4 wisdom teeth pulled earlier this week. He said their division was doing well. So good to hear his voice!

Hi Norma.  Ricky called today too  he sounded really tired, but otherwise okay.  We're starting to get so excited about PIR and meeting everyone.  We RSVP'd for Sarge's Meet and Greet on the 7th. Hope to see everyone there!

Hello - I got a call from my son yesterday - he said it was a mandatory call - they get 3 - the first night they arrive - the one yesterday and one more on week 5.  He said they were suppose to get the second call last Thurs but the div didn't earn it so they delayed it to Sat!  He said he was sick with a cold and a lot of the guys have it and also have pink eye which has spread rapidly.  He said he thought the reason everyone was catching a cold was because a lot of the guys don't cover their mouth when they cough!  Also, the div got a 4.4 gpa on the Navy Chain of Command test which was the highest of all (I believe meaning all of the ship/div in PIR 6/8)!  That made me proud.  This coming Frid start week 3 - so 5 more weeks to go before PIR on 6/8! Praying he gets better and gets through this BC and comes out of it a better person and a proud Sailor!

I hope our guys got a little rest today during " holiday". I RSVPed Sarge's Meet and Greet! 32 days!

Hello everyone! My name is Julie. My son Cody graduated Nov 4,2011 and my nephew just graduated March 30. I now have one of my sons friends in this division. I wanted to let you all know its going to start flying by. Robertsmom...when you get to graduation there will be signs posting division numbers. You will sit in the area assigned for your sons division. As far as where to stay? We stayed at the Navy Lodge. Great place! Great staff!! Great coffee(free all day in lobby)!! Just a couple min from graduation. We parked ouside of grad hall in side parking lot by bus staion. We were in and out in 2 minutes and no long walks. Dont ever count on a call. Just keep your phone with you. If it happens...be happy :) I have spent months stalking my mailman for letters. I know your pain. It will all be over soon. And you WILL cry your eyes out 6/8. Hang in there!

Hi, I'm Angie (Ricky's Mom).  If you google "Navy Lodge, Great Lakes", you will get the site with the correct phone #.  Sarge's meet and greet is on this site.  Click the "events" tab, and find the meet set for June 7th.  There is a link to click for an RSVP.  My son is also carrying a flag!  I'm so proud of all of the young men in his division - they are definitely starting to think of  themselves as a team!

Thank you, Cody's mom. I hope it goes by quickly for the guys especially.

Hello my name is Teri and my son is also shp 3 div 174. I am new to this group and i am glad i found it.

Hi Teri!  I'm Angie (Ricky's Mom).  Glad you found us! This is a great site for all kinds of info and everyone is so supportive. Can't wait to meet everyone in person at PIR!

As of 12:01 a.m. there is less than a month of bootcamp left! Good luck 174! Sending them positive thoughts! Of course, for their moms, too. :)

No new mail today :(    Trying to keep positive thoughts, but really missing my SR today!  Thanks all for the encouragement and support - it really helps!
