April 15th
HI ladies.. My daughter's box arrived yesterday..it was bittersweet for sure! but at least this whole "boot camp" process is starting to move now! next I am looking foward to the form letter..then finally her letter!
it's great to have all of you to relate..unless you are navy mom and missing your child terribly..you will not understand! thanks!
Seems a lot of you have received your boxes or form letters. I talked to my sons Recruiter, so I got his mailing address, but have not received anything else. I thought maybe he sent it to his dad instead of me,but his dad hasn't received anything yet either.  His Recruiter said, he didn't have a PIR date for him just yet, either.  Hope we get something soon.
I also barely got her address from her recruiter this afternoon after reading that some of you called your child's recruiter..Hang in there!
My brother left on the 16 too. this is a new experience for my family. I am worried a bit but my husband who is also in the navy just keeps telling me he will be fine.
Hi irisnicole..i know the feeling..you can't help but wonder what our loved one is are going through! They don't call it Boot Camp for nothing! however my daughter's friend just graduatd from Greal Lakes last Friday..he actually said BC was easy..it was just hard to be cut off from everyone! but before you know it they are back in communication asap..his Facebook was updated..the minute he got his iphone or laptop back!

Hi Carol, Well now I guess next step is for us to buy those airline tickets! Better yet.. I am now waiting for a "REAL" letter from her AND her phone call! I carry my cell with me EVERYWHERE! When my daughter's friend was in the BC (he just graduated last week) he would call her like at random times Well we will see.

Have a great day!

We made our hotel reservation and bought our airline tickets already.....

Hi Teresa, it made my day today..I also  got my airline ticket today too! haven't done the hotel reservation yet.. will do asap. Something to look forward to..flying out and seeing our new Sailors!

I am so looking forward to his graduating....I can't wait to get my hug......to hear his voice is what I am really waiting on.. I hope a phone call is in the very very near future...like this week.

It's been 14 days since I spoke to him.....):
