Hi this is Lorelei. My son is leaving for GL on 1-19-11. I can't believe it's already here. He's so excited and nervous about going and his dad and I are in shock. How did it get here so fast? Would love to hook up with anyone who's son is heading out on this date. We live in Oregon. It's cold here but not as cold as Chicago.

We put enough time into making them the wonderful people they are, you're right we can cry if we want to. :)
Hi Dawn, I see you found the site for January bootcamp srs. I hope to see you on the next site we need to go to. I hope I find it!! Take care.

Thank you Oregeonmom, I'm having a hard time on this website, I keep getting lost or sidetracked. I'm grateful for all the info on here but a few minutes easily turns into hours. It sure does turn into a cryfest for me though. I think I'm better then I read a few posts and start crying again. If there was a way to capture all our tears on here, I bet we could fill our own ocean for our sailors, to keep them safe and sound.

I wish I knew his grad date and address. I just wrote a letter to him.You take care too! :)

The best to all of you moms~

DawnM    You should be able to call the recruiter for his address. You'll get the form letter in the next few days. In the meantime here is the link to the 3/18 PIR group   http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pir31811   just click on the http address then click on +join

Use the tabs at the top of the page to maneuver around. Under the Groups tab is "All Groups" and "My Groups" click on the My Groups one

Go to your page and scroll down...I have left you a greeting message with links and other info that may be helpful.

I'm in Pennsylvania, my son left today.
I know what you're going through. This is the hardest thing I've had to do yet. He seems so young yet.  I am sad for me but so happy for the experiences my son will have.

2. Depper’s… in but not yet
is a group for those just waiting for bootcamp to start (Delayed Entry Program – a depper)

This is the site where you can go and choose the month that your son is leaving (January) and there are several of us there that have sons and daughters that left yesterday or today. Let me know if you have trouble finding the site.

I am in shock and don't know what to do with myself!! This is very hard. I really hope that our sons love the Navy. Many hugs going out to you.

Hi Deb 7363 somehow I missed you. Please join us at the group PIR 3/18 here:

just click on the link on the link and join. You find a fun group of gals on the site and you will find comfort for the ride.
My son left today as well. We are from Pennsylvania and he enlisted months ago!  Time sure does creep up on you...We miss him terribly!
I so agree! My son signed up in June and bam here we are. I hope this get easier. Waiting for the phone call. Are you Steelers fans?
Lol no...we are browns fans, but I am beginning to rethink that.  We received our phone call about 20 min. ago. It was very, very short. :(  He said he'd get another 1-2 minute call in 3 wks!!

We haven't gotten our call yet. I'm hoping it will be soon!! Too bad about the Browns. Pittsburgh is my youngest son's favorite team though. My husband loves the 49ers. They are kinda like the Browns ;(

Hope to see in the PIR group when we find out what that is. Let me know if you have trouble finding it.
