For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Son Left for bootcamp 4/11
Hello my name is Eloise and my Son Andrew left for bootcamp on the 11th of April. I have to say that I was so excited when he signed up but now I miss him ssooo much...even though Im proud of him and worried about him, I know that this is best place for him right now....But I wonder how long I will feel like this and when I cqan get his address so I can at least write to him. Thanks

I understand your worries. I relate totally! My big concern is wisdom teeth removal. I hadn't thought of the innoculations but they can make the kids feel kinda lousy for sure. Once we know the division numbers of our recruits and their PIR dates we will know if they are in same division. I don't know how much socializing they have been able to do yet but I am sure there is a lot of bonding going on with the girls. I bought a stack of greeting cards last night to send one every other day after we get the address. Some of the cards are humorous and some are serious and supportive. I think they will be glad to see anything from home when they get their first batch of mail!

I haven't received any letters other than The Box and the form letter with her address, but have been mailing a letter most every day, and including a joke most days for her. I figure my daughter would rather have a good laugh to release tension than crying over it all! I signed up for Sarge's Meet & Greet on June 7th. Will you be going to that? Did you make any reservations yet? I reserved a room at the Navy Lodge, but may have to change the reservation if my daughter doesn't get liberty for the entire weekend after graduation...but I can do that up until June 7th, so it isn't a problem.
I wonder about the wisdom teeth, too...seems awfully difficult to have to go through that along with all the other BC stress!

Hi everyone...
I finally got "The Letter" which said her PIR date is June 8, she is Ship 03 Div. 176, so if any of your kids turn up in that bunch, let me know and perhaps we can try to meet at the graduation?

I got the box then the letter then a phone call. She had a phone pass to ask questions of family members for security clearance. our PIR date is June 8, Ship 03 Div 176. She hates it...but that is to be expected!
