While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Class 1202 (Graduation date- July 20th)
Our sailors will moving on to the 2nd phase of "Nuke" School. Indoc starts on Feb.9th and classes on the 13th. Since we will all be in the "same boat" together, I thought it will be nice to share our experiences. Lets continue to support our sailors and each other!

hello all!!
i am back home after spending a really fastastic easter weekend with my son!! of course it seem like time flew by!! i got to meet a couple of his classmates, which was really nice. i asked if any had moms on N4M and one said he thought.
jo1---the villas are wonderful. we wish we could get one for the power school graduation, but i believe they are all taken. it was like having a home away from home. if you need help with directions to get to them, let me know. we kinda got lost trying to find them. so much for gps!!!LOL

I already booked Villas for powerschool grad....Colin may have his apartment by then.....so if so, I may be able to give up Villa and stay at his apartment...will let anyone know that is interested. Hopefully will know in advance to graduation!

My son did well on his last test, but apparently, his section scored their worst average yet and were all given mandatory study hours.(15/2) My son is not a happy camper, he feels he has kept his GPA very high and feels he is being punished. He says that they have very little class time right now and are being given most of the day to study so an additional 2-3 hours a day is torture. I told him not to let him down, maybe he should tutor some of the students. He told me that they are discouraged against going to other students for help. Well then I guess all he can do is hope his class does better next time!

Cindylou so glad to hear your son did well unfortunatly my sailor did not and it has absolutely devasted him. He studies hard and puts all his effort intoit and for the first time failed a test. He texted me last night to tell me had done poorly on the test and was so frustrated with him self. He says the atmosphere on base is very negative and those that had a good positive attitudes are starting to develop a negative one including him self causing him to doubt the decisions he has made . Praying for all the sailors on that base.

I am sorry that your son didn't do well. From what I understand, this was a hard test to many. I can't remember for certain but I think he said his section's average on this test was 2.3. Obviously not an easy test. My son said that many who never failed a test, failed this one including one of his best friends. He told his buddy not to get down on himself for one test. I also got the impression that moral was down for everyone. Hope they have another test soon so they can score higher and uplift the general mood around there.

Pennie I think your son is in the same section as mine. I have not heard how Monday's test went. I know on Sunday he thought he knew the material fairly well. Sometime I think over confidence is a very bad enemy. I too am worried about a growing negative attitude that seems to be catchy. I tell him not to be around people with a bad attitude and he tells me what do you want me to do- stay in my room by myself. I have tried sending him cards and even bought him the book The Little Engine that Could. I don't know what to do to make a better attitude permanent.

i hope everyone had a good easter. ours was nice. it was nice seeing my son and being able to make sure he was really ok. he didnt do as good on this last test as he would have liked. i heard they had to do extra study hours on monday. i pray they all are able to help each other through the rough spots and cheer each other on when good things happpen (which i hope happens more).

Spoke with my son last night and was relieved to learn he had done fairly well on that last test. His high school physics teacher would be happy to know he gave him all the credit for his success. He did tell me there were something like 11 failures. He and another sailor were going out for dinner. His attitude was more positive which was a big weight off my shoulders. I can only hope that it will last.
