My son is due to graduate next week (finally!!) however, WHEN specifically will I receive that "I MADE IT" phone call???  I've already paid for my flight, but am a little stressed this week. Does the call come in the morning, afternoon, evening?? which day of the week?? I'm afraid to go out to the yard or do laundry -- so afraid that I'll miss the call. I sure hope he passes everything.

The "I'm a Sailor" call usually comes in the afternoon following BattleStations and the capping ceremony.

BattleStation dates are not discussed online, but if you go over to  http://navyformoms.com/group/pir11072014 (you are already a member) and tell diannep your Recruit's Div #, she can give you a best guess. Very soon. Keep your phone handy.

THANK YOU. From what I figured  out on YouTube, Battlestations are done on the Friday, Monday, or Tuesday prior to the graduation date.  I'll just tie my cell phone to my wrist so that I don't miss the call.

Hello.

You will receive a Form Letter from your Recruit that will give you his Graduation Date, Mailing Address and other pertinent info.

Please join this GROUP(link): Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones)  to connect with other new moms. It is a great place to ask questions and there is a lot of great info in the PAGES (you'll see it directly underneath the MEMBERS photos on the right hand side) section of the Group.

Once you get the Form Letter and know his Graduation Date you can then join the PIR Group with that date to take you through the Boot Camp journey. There are "veteran moms" who have been through this to answer any questions and other loved ones who have recruits with the same Graduation date that you may connect with. Boot Camp Moms Group posts links regularly for the new PIR GROUPS. Also, this link: N4M GROUPS: Listed By PIR Date  keeps the PIR GROUP links up to date.

PIR stands for Pass-in-Review which is the formal ceremony that takes place at Graduation.

Welcome! :-)
