Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Troy's Mom and Ann,
I have been hearing that it is a possibility that peoplemay be able to get in. I have only heard of a couple of people ever getting turned away from being able to get into PIR. I have a 13 yr old daughter that I am not able to get on the list or anyone else's for that matter but I am taking her with me anyway. The way it works is everyone is let in that is on the list, then they let overflow in. So Troy's mom take that Brother with you!!! Ann don't fret it I dont think there is going to be a problem with being able to get in if there is then my daughter will have a couple of good people to sit with outside while she waits!! Marilee, I had already thoughtabout asking Troy's mom to bring his brother, I would be glad to take care of him if we didn't get in and I will do the same for your daughter. It would be nice to have someone to talk with while you wait. I'm like you I think everyone will get in, but it was my understanding that the extras didn't get in until after the ceremony had already started and I wanted to see them march in since my grandson was a flag person. I'm finished fretting, whatever happens will happen. I think I have our names on someone else list. I requested to be your friend. I'm retired so I'm on here lots but have to admit I'm a night person and sometime its very late night. David will be going to A school in Pensacola unless they change it at BC.
My daughter is also going to Pensacola for A school. If you run across anyone else that may have one space available could you please send them my way! I thank you very much! I am very excited to meet everyone and cant wait!
I think Mailee is right. From what I understand the recruit is only allowed 4 people on their list. There isn't any tickets given out. They will begin seating those who are on the recruit's list. Once everyone on the list is seated, they allow others to enter the building. There are bleachers along one side and standing room on a balcony above the bleachers. I have several people who have told me they haven't turned anyone away - I am sure they will do whatever they can to get everyone in for the ceremony.

My question would be - what if they do turn people away - where would they go? what would they do for all that time? If it is a child, would they really let them wait outside the building alone? I can't imagine that. Maybe check on Facebook. Great Lakes has a page and you can ask questions there. They seem to be quick with responses. I would def try that. I hope everyone gets to see this milestone in their sailors life - it's so important to them! Good Luck!

The graduating recruit is responsible for identifying those individuals to be placed on the access list. Please coordinate with your recruit via letters regarding who will be on the access list. No additions, deletions or changes will be made to the access list the week of graduation. The four guests on the access list will be admitted into the ceremonial drill hall first. Additional guests not on the access list will have to wait inside the Visitor Center until after the start of the ceremony at which time they will be allowed into the ceremonial hall if additional seating is available as space permits. No additional seating can be guaranteed. PLEASE DO NOT CALL FOR ADDITIONAL SEATS. All visitors must have valid photo identification. This requirement includes children (school ID, Social Security card or copy of birth certificate). Please be aware that security may deny base admission to guests NOT on the access list if they are not accompanied by a guest who is on the access list.
Hate to be a pest! any one out there with an extra spot on their list for PIR? I have a son that will be left behind.. I would appreciate any opportunity to include him.
