For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Navywife - I posted this on IT A schoolers, but maybe you'll see this first. My boyfriend has been in P'Cola since April 23rd and is starting classes today. The weekends, FOR HIM, have been VERY laid back. He's woken up at whatever time he wants, the first weekend there, they grilled out, and this past weekend they went to the beach. So, technically you could go see him, but you can't go to his barracks, stay the night, and he couldn't stay the night with you. You would have the day time on weekends. I wouldn't go down there his first weekend, either. When Michael was in boot camp he mentioned the same thing to me, but they need that time to get acquainted with their roommates and getting settled. You can move down there, but on your own dime and he wouldn't be able to live with you except for weekends (in phase 3) and you could see him during the day as long as he doesn't have class or duty. If I lived closer to P'Cola (I'm in NC - 12 hour drive), I would move down there or definitely would stay at an extended stay hotel for the summer (I'm a teacher). It would be worth it. :\ But, anyways, hope this helps!

I know the routine at Great Lakes, so I'm assuming P-Cola will be simliar.
He will have to earn his phase two liberty to go of base and wear civilian clothes. 22 weeks? He needs to ask TODAY if he is eligible for Live Ashore status. He can request to live off base with you if his training is long enough. Since you were married before boot camp, he may well have accompanied orders to his school. The only way he will know is to ask. And ask again to get the correct information.

big thanks to both of you for replying! annamichael - you completely flipped my day upside down. lol, I was so upset when I read I wasn't going to be able to see him, but knowing I can on weekends ( just not the first one ) really brings up my mood. Both you and Anti M helped alot, thanks!
