OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

You won't get a letter for about 2-3 weeks so if he went in on the 13th you MAY get one this coming week. They're only allowed to write on Sunday afternoons, mail them on Monday so you should get one Wed. or Thurs. They don't give them their mail for the first 2 weeks so he probably wouldn't have got any of the ones you sent anyway. What was wrong about the address? As long as you got the division # right, he'll get them eventually.

well i was given the address completely off because there was no ship number, and no street. But since its a military thing i thought it would look weird anyways.

My husband left on the 12th and I recieved my first letter yesterday. Hopefully you will get one this coming week. I was not expecting one so soon, but you should recieve one by the end of the week!

i had the same problem. My boyfriend left on the 14th and i just found out that the div and ship number we were given by the recruiter were wrong. as were the street number and the last 4 of the zip code...i assume they will probably come back to me?

ok, so i talked to his recruiter and he told me that he would get the letters, but my friends who have also dated military men, have said that the guys were getting letters months after they were sent.

well i think even though it was the wrong address, he still got my first letter. it did take awhile for it to get there. but it only took like six days for me to get a letter from him. as for the ship number being wrong, i was told its ok just as long as the division number was right. you'll probably get your letter back, but no worries, cause you'll be getting a letter from him this week. :)
