Happy Birthday Charlotte!!!!!
Thank you for the getwell wishes everyone. - and Lorraine, thank you for the reminder for yogart and such - my dr had told me but I was so sick I couldn't keep stuff down for about a week - I forgot about it!
Carol Aileen, I hope you are well soon! I recommend yogurt/probiotics while taking antibiotics to replenish the good bacteria your body needs. It is commonly recommended now.
Good to hear from everyone. Gail, I think they are pushing Scott hard to qualify also. After only two short under ways and a couple months in port, he was happy to finally be using his 28 months of training to do his real duties in his current deployment. I can't imagine the pressure but our boys will do their best!
Terry, so glad you get to visit Aaron soon.
Hi Everyone - I've been thinking of you all - but haven't been up to posting much.
I've been under the weather for about 3 weeks now - ended up in the hospital with both kidneys infected.....ugh!!! on round 3 of antibotics and see a specialist next week. I'm keeping food down now at least!
Aaron is starting school next week! he has all his classes lined up for the summer and fall - he is pretty excited to get going. So far the NROTC part has been going pretty smoothly, he hasn't had any issues that he has told me about anyways....lol
Terry - I'm glad that you get to go visit while Aaron is still in port.... I bet it is frustrating for him though.... lots of patience needed in the military.... :)
Charlotte - how often do you hear from Jason?
Gail - yiks - lots of pressure to get through the qualifying - but I know he can do it - he seemed to handle prototype pretty well... any updates on the girlfriend?
Lorraine - I agree - Facebook is the way I keep tabs on Aaron - when he posts something I know that he is ok ....lol
Casey - I hope things are going smoothly for you - I bet it is hard being back at parents - but Ibet they are enjoying both you and Ethan!!!
Nice to hear from everyone !
Charlotte, they got a German sheppard mix - named Sarah.... looks like a cutie!
Well at least Aaron took most of his stuff with him! lol he did leave several boxes here, but I have them in the basement.... He bought himself a bedroom set - spent 3000.00!!! wow.... but then I really can't blame him.... here he had a mattress on the floor and boxes for clothes....he really wanted/needed a bedroom set. but then again I have my childhood dresser ( GREEN!! UGH) and after 20 yrs of marriage bought a bed.....lol I told him he could get something cheaper but he went all out. They did get couches and stuff from a thrift shop at least - they figured with a dog that they didn't want new stuff in the living area.
We finally have had some sunny days! its suppose to be raining but the sun was still shining today. still inthe 50 to low 60 range though..... I'm ready for some warmth!!
Hi! I was just thinking that I should post something - been thinking of you all :)
Aaron is in OR getting his household all set up..... Darn kid has spent more money on furnature than I ever did. it sounds like they have a nice duplex, 3 bedrooms and fenced yard. they ( his roommate Dustin) picked up a dog today - it is officially Dustins, but Aaron helped pick her out. Dustin's gf will be moving in in the fall so will see how that goes. Aaron has already presented a flag to next of kin at a funeral and attended a military ball....jumping right in!
Aaron left this morning for Oregon.... I told him that since he is going off to college I felt like I should be going along to help get him settled.... :) he didn't go for it.... I am making plans to go visit in July!! only a 10 hour drive now - and I'll camp on the beach for a few days also!!!
