Great news, Terry! Best wishes to the new baby and her parents...and of course, her new Grandma.

Mother's Day was good with a text from my sailor. Then his girlfriend and 3 year old son took me to the zoo and bought me dinner afterward. Heard from my other two as well so all is good.
Terry, we're looking forward to hearing the baby news.

Tina, Thank you for sharing!  It sounds like Guy has a good idea of where he is going and what it wants to do.  Good luck to him, and keep us updated when you can!

Today is Scott's 23rd birthday. He has finished 3 years of his 6 year enlistment and I'm so proud of him. I'm hoping the next 3 years bring even more maturity and a good plan when he gets out of the Navy. At this point, he doesn't plan to re-enlist but one never knows! He would like to come out and finish his engineering degree. I just hope his plan also includes money to live on while he's going to school.

Gail, sorry to hear that Eric's sub experience was not good.  I hope things improve in that situation.

Terry, sounds like lots of excitement coming your way with Aaron set to be a new daddy.

Great to hear your updates Charlotte and Carol Aileen. Take care, everyone and have a great week.

oh so glad you heard from Jason Charlotte!  Aaron is doing well, just finished up finals last week, he has been sleeping a lot this week  - resting up for another round.  He is still enjoying college,  its been tough but he is plugging along. He has been getting  mostly A's with a few B's ..... I love it that he hates to get B's - Highschool was such a struggle! The Navy has been good for him.

Thanks for the updates Charlotte and pmgcakes. The Big E is making history and it's neat that you both have family aboard. My son is settled in now. I asked if there was more of a routine now that the boat is in dry dock. 'Not yet' was the answer. I guess it's always Navy normal which isn't normal to us :-)

Hi, all  is well  In Ballston Spa,   S finally classed up at the end of February and seems to be doing well, I have been able to visit him three times since December and I love it.  I really enjoy spending time with them, I have met about 10 different sailors from all over the country.  I cook like crazy when i go up, one night a had a young man lean over,  put his chin on my shoulder, he took a deep breath and said oh, that smells so good,   and it was only the onions and garlic  LOL..

Charlotte my nephew also deployed on the Big E,  Sunday. my sister made the trip up from Florida, but we were not able to go down, Im hoping I can make it there for the return home.  K just graduated A school in Chicago, and arrived at Norfolk in the beginning of March...  we spoke a few times since he arrived and was trying to get accustomed to his new life, gladly he had 4 other Sailors from his A school class so they all are not alone...
