Glad you had a nice visit Charlotte! I hope the pain is going away -
Happy Birthday Terry and Eric!!
My Aaron is doing well, still enjoying school, I can't imagine taking the courses he is taking.... but he is loving it. He had a tough midterm in one class - but has talked to the instructor and got it figured out. He has been playing a lot of soccer and snow boarding when he can - enjoying the life as a college student!
I just got back from seeing my parents - my Dad is in a memory care unit. I bought him a photo of Aaron in uniform and he carried it around showing everyone - residents and aides and all with tears streaming down his face. He was so proud. Here is a photo from last May - before my Dad went down hill and ended up in the memory care unit in August. ( I may have shared it once before...)
Happy birthday to Eric. What a neat gift to give him!
Thanks, Carol. One benefit of retirement is being able to make a last minute trip to visit Sailor. Scott's GF and I spent all last week with him, helping with his move to housing in his new location. They're moving up the coast to work on the boat in dry dock. He's still in CT for now, but his new apartment is ready for him when he gets there. It was nice to see where he will be living soon - it helps me visualize him in his surroundings and imagine what he might be up to.
congrats on your retirement Lorraine! I can't believe its been a couple of weeks since i checked in here.... time is flying by. Enjoy your visit Terry! Charlotte, I hope you are healing up nicely and are able to enjoy the visit from your Boys! :)
Great news, Charlotte. And what a nice way to get back to normal with visits from your boys.
Scott was home the first 2 weeks of January for a very welcome visit. He had a recent 5 month deployment and it was fun to go to his homecoming in December. I retired two days ago and can't believe I'm a free woman - no daily grind, no debt, just a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the fruits of 46 years of labor (I started working when I was 14). I had breast cancer 3 years ago, so this is a blessing! Take care, everyone, and enjoy each day!
Thank you for keeping us updated Barry - You all have been in my thoughts. - So glad she is healing well!
Heal quickly, Charlotte. You can add my prayers to all the rest :-)
Wonderful news Barry - Thank you for the update!! Give her a big hug from us.
