Scottie's on his way home and should be here soon. Sounds like you had fun at your place, pmgcakes. What a blessing to share it with two extra sailors! Happy New Year everyone.

So happy for everyone, Hugs for all our sailors.  mine reported to BS on 12/16, didnt receive leave, but was able to come home for christmas weekend, and hoping he will be able to drive home this coming weekend, love having him back in NY.  We had the pleasure of spending Christmas Eve with 2 additional Sailors that came home with my son, he told them both u need to bring your Blues - Mom's rule.. Scott's dad was impressed with the muscle on Scott's arms. Scott said it was all the exercise turning stuff with wrenches. Those must be some knobs and some wrenches :-)

Enjoyed the homecoming experience this past week and the opportunity to see our sailor.

Oh my good news and sad news..... Terry, how is the brother doing?

I'm glad that everyone is hearing from or hugging their Sailors!

Aaron comes home for  10 days tomorrow  - praying for good roads - no big storms that I hear of so should be clear.

Charlotte, glad to hear that your Mom is eatting better!   My Mom is under 100 lbs... she forgets to eat and nothing tastes good....  sigh.   My Dad is settling into the nursing home, He seems to be adjusting well, not being as aggresive.

We are all going over for 5 days to spend Christmas with them - should be interesting....

My prayers are going up for all the concerns brought up. It's not a good time of year for bad news but I hope you all make it through. My husband and I were privileged to attend the homecoming of the USS Miami yesterday in Groton CT and to hug our son again. He remained on board for duty and we expect to be able to spend some time with him later today before the 15 hour drive back home tomorrow.
