Hi all, I am not very artsy craftsy, and I was wondering if any of you are making a memory box or scrapbooking project for your SR's momentos. I have a bunch of pictures from Nick's going away party,…Continue

thank you cmom, I truly appreciate all you do to keep us feeling supported and connected.

for those in the group who's SRs just left, boy is it a rollercoaster ride! hang in there and check in with these groups often. I think the worse thing since my son arrived at bootcamp march 10th was the unknown. Now that he has been there for 3 weeks, i feel a little better because I know he is safe, he might not be happy right now but I know he is safe and doing what he has always wanted to do, and that was join the navy.

Thanks everyone - I feel such a connection with you all!!  I want to know what is happening to your SR's and you on this journey - there will be many ups and downs along the way I'm sure - but just knowing we have a support group will be what gets us thru!

I hope you all will continue to support one another all the way thru bc!!  I know with being one of the first to have my son go in March - it has been the support of each and everyone of those in the group that have made it easier!!

Proud Na V Mom - this is your son's first day and I want to be there thru it to support you just as you supported me on my son's first day - I will be there when it is half way for you as well - trust me - there are good days and bad days Days I miss him terribly - I just pull  my BGP's up and help others!! (more good than bad as time goes)

I know we will start spending time in our PIR groups (they are great but our March group is bigger and better :-)  but just remember those that are still there and check in once in a while to give advise an encourage them - It really does help!!

Thank you so much CMom for doing this.  You must have an unending supply of energy!  I can't believe your son is almost half through boot camp already!  My son is just getting through his first day today.  What a journey this has been...

I really, really appreciate your starting this group because I kept thinking we'd lose track of each other once our respective kids went to PIR.  This way we can always stay in touch!!!  Thanks again and bless you!
