Hi all, I am not very artsy craftsy, and I was wondering if any of you are making a memory box or scrapbooking project for your SR's momentos. I have a bunch of pictures from Nick's going away party,…Continue

Yep, that's what I understand. 149/150 on Thursday night-Friday morning. This week they have the final drill inspection, Test 3, firefighting, and BS21. Oh, and Captain's Cup on Saturday. I don't think 149 has prepared for that yet. Then they'll have the next week to wait for the other divisions in their training group to finish up. I'm glad they have extra time.

Proud NaVy mom;

I have to agree with everything Chimelle said!!

The only advise is ASK QUESTIONS to your SR in every letter you write - you can use the Question - airs and then add to them or "tweak" them to your SR.  They are actually fun to add too!!  I personalized them and my hubbie and I laughed sooo much when we formed "our questions" to  our Son!!  Example of one i added.  > Who do you Love the most?  a) your recruiter.  b) Your RDC.      c) The guy who brings your mail.  d) YOUR "SUPER"  MOM  e) Your girlfriend's new boyfriend.

you get the idea!!

Also keep your PIR / division talking!! (this can be hard at times - but post something in it as often as you can ) You will find out some of your 'answers' of the questions you will be asking from others that will share their letters!!          I  I suggest you try to get to know at least 1 in the same division to be able to private msg - there may be a letter you get or they get and do not feel comfortable sharing for all divisions and people to see - you and they can share info privately.  I also try to go to the other divisions discussions on our PIR group as they sometimes hear (in letters from their SR) what is going on - I have figured out that most of the time the lowest number division is the first to go thru things.  If you are a division behind them then it could be the same day or the day after they report their SR did something that you can figure yours did.   (hope this makes sense.?)  Just remember we are here to support each other!!

HOO - YAH = only 11 days from now I will be hugging my Sailor Son!!!!

Pray for ship 3 Division 150 - They should be having Battle Stations this next week!!

(I think 149 and 150 will be together?? - is that what you understand Chimelle?)

Always have your phone close. My son got to call us this afternoon. It's the 2nd time I've talked with him besides that first "I'm here" call. We were in the car driving out of town and I happened to hear my phone ringing in my purse. Otherwise I would have missed him. I never carried my phone around before but I sure do now.

BC seemed to drag on at first but now seems to be flying. I have a feeling these last 2 weeks will be hard, though. The thought of almost getting to see him is overwhelming. Your SR will be able to tell you closer to PIR when they'll have BS and other activities. Mine writes a lot, many details about what they're doing and when. His division is the lowest numbered division in their graduation group so they'll do BS first, the Thursday night before PIR.

The first few days they're at BC they're in processing days, doing paperwork. Then they start filling divisions. It sounds like your SR had to wait for more recruits to get there to fill a division before they started training days. It's all strange but it soon becomes clearer.

I'm so happy and excited for all you beginning March Moms!    I can't believe y'all are going to PIR the next 2 weekends!!!  I just know how you must just be so thrilled!!!  I'm still waiting for that first phone call...hope it comes soon.  My cell phone has become a permanent appendage to my body and if I see that I almost have no battery left I freak out!  Heaven forbid I get caught anywhere but home with a low battery!!!!  It's just too funny!!

How can you find out things like who their brother division is?  I figured out Captain's Cup is the weekend before their PIR.  How do we find out about the gas chamber day and Battle Stations?  My son was there an entire two weeks and his first week just started this week for some reason.  He is on day 1-6.  I don't understand that when he will start his 4th week there on this Tuesday...  Makes no sense to me.  If any of you know how to get the information above please let me know.

As always, thanks!!!

ebgirl0ship12/div 157----   This is great news that Division 157 and 158 will be the first and second divisions through the door at the 5/6 PIR!   That will be a great photo op.  Yeah!   I am praying that the gas chamber and battlestations goes well for them   Go 157!!!

Hey girls, here's the latest scoop I have dug up from the RTC facebook page.

Division 157 MIGHT be making phone calls this week! :)  Division 157 is also scheduled for the gas chambers this week. Also, Division 157's "brother division" is 158. The two brother divisions start out FIRST for things like Battlestations because they are the lowest two numbers of the divisions. I don't know if the two divisions go together in the gas chamber or not.

Battlestations for 157/158 are said to be scheduled for a week from this week, either Thurs. or Friday 4/28 or 4/29.

Here's the REALLY good news! Divisions 157/158 will be the very 1st and 2nd divisions through the doors at PIR on 5/6!!!!! Whooooo!!!! :)
