MNM- I am making Macadamia white Choc chip too! One of B fav's as well ( Have to hide them from the hubs as well!) Chewy shortbread bars, pumpkin rolls, choc macaroons, lemon angel bars, choc pecan bars, chewy sugar cookies, pecan horns and blueberry cream cheese butter braids. I bake and give them as gifts too...we don't eat them all ourselves.
Cindy- That is so neat that you found your son on the rail! His friend was smart to use his telephoto lens to find you. Is that your son waving in the picture?
MNM- I think the reason that time drags and then decides to fly by is this... excitement and anticipation make our days seem to move in slow motion...(it's almost like waiting for Christmas when we were children) it just won't come faou soons!st enough. Then once it is here it flies by so quickly because every minute is filled with our special family member and all kinds of things going on and to do. I think that the time passes too quickly because now we are dreading the time that we will say our "good byes", "see ya laters" and "see you soons" the emotion of knowing it is coming, seems to make it come faster! I have always tried to make our saying good by as a lighthearted time of celebration for when we will see each other again! Then, after they have gone I let the tear flow and mark my calender for the next time. All the while being grateful for the great times and memories we have just made together!!
We are decorating the tree today (Jessi's schedule didn't work out this time) then the rest of the week I'll be doing the last of my baking. What kind of cookies did you bake MNM? I hope you can get some rest later so you aren't so tired.
Awesome pictures Cindy! only 5 more days til we get our hugs! So very happy for you and Connie! (you look great for having just taken a swim!)
MNM Safe travels, I can smell those cookies from here!
god bless all the sailors coming home safe!!
HooYah! Welcome home!!
Connie and Cindy- It sounds like you did a great job bringing them in!! Love on those Sailors!!
Cindy and Connie- You should wear those cold water wet suits and as MNM said make sure you have lots of blankets. If you dont happen to have the wet suits I'm sure that you can borrow a couple from the SEALS there! What time is the event so we can be thinking of you both? Enjoy the day and watch out for those bouys!!
We just got news that we have a new great niece! Elin Rae Christine arrived this morning @ 4:47 AM !! The new daddy is my nephew who is the Army Lt!! Of course she is just beautiful!! Mommy and baby are doing great and I have a feeling she will be an early riser! She is already very popular with her big brother and sister! HooYah Hollie great job!
Hi Drew's Mom Debbie, my Sailor is stationed in Lemoore. He has just come home from deployment from Japan. He was one of the lucky ones to get early return to help get everything ready when all the rest come back. He was also lucky to get a two week chit approved so he could come home and visit, we live 3 1/2 hours south of the base. If your needing to know anything just ask and I'll get with him to see if he has the answers.
Happy holidays to all
Joanne

Congradulations to all who will see there child during Christmas and big Hugs for those who don't. My AT will finish up in P'cola next week and be home til after the 1st of the year. Then off to Lemoore, CA. Anyone for somebody out that way?
