Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

ok here we go typical navy. Chris fractured 2 bones in his shoulder back in july. they sent him for an mri last wednesday to look for tear now that shoulder is just about healed. No word yet if its torn an he is supposed to start physical therapy on monday. so slowwww in getting information. I think im more frustrated then he is

@Connie & Sherrill - I too tell myself to not cry that it only makes it harder on Ryan when he leaves/or we leave from a vist. But I am such a softy and tears begin to fall everytime.....he just smiles and hugs me. I just love that boy :-)

Texas finally reporting for Tuesday muster....

Busy at work....

MNM - love the pics from Navy game and helo; thanks for sharing. Hubby & I watched the Navy game over the weekend too :-) We were texting Ryan the scores since he had duty watch this past weekend.

3d's - happy to hear that your son hi back aboard his ship and doing well.

Texas finally got some much needed rain over the weekend. Overall was only around 1 inch, but something is better than nothing :-)

Ryan said his TAD ends effictively 10/24....hopefully he will start C School right after. **fingers & toes crossed**

Thanks for the tips, but I think I am in the right place, My Sailor says that he is AN, Aviation Airman until school starts, he signed up as AE but then it changed to AV now he says it will be AT does that sound right? I know FTS is the Reserves.

He is awaiting school to start there in Pensacola, just now beginning phase ll

fyi-time is drawing near for my Sailor's deployment.  actually i am quite proud of myself (so far) hanging tough and accepting this new phase....still time for me to have a  meltdown though...hehehehe

Yeah, Hello 3d's glad to see you stopped in :)  How is your sailor doing? Is he back on his ship? Hope the sun comes out soon.

 

Connie, where do you come up with these things. The last time we had to eat a 9 scoop sunday at Kooky Koonucks. Thank godness I dont know where they even sell Butterscotch Pudding. 

Our Friend is still in a coma, they are scheduled to do surgery on the C1 part of neck Tuesday. we're still praying.

Happy National Butterscotch Pudding day!  well i could "get on board" if it was chocolate pudding.....hehehehe
