NEC is the code for the gear you work on both i level and O level will have a NEC. Different planes have different equipment. The list of NEC's  probably goes on forever. My son for example works on Equip from the P-3 plane and wont go on a ship, and then he can be broken down even further to say he works on xyz equipment like radar or navigation or communications etc... ATI's also have C school.

Connie it sounds like we've pieced it all together. They try to make it harder than it is, (i think)  I wonder if all rates have as many different areas as the AT's? Atleast we can all say they all work on some type of Aircraft :)

thanks Tink!! so that would mean Paul would be on the flight deck....a problem with a piece of euipment that he can't fix right there....he pulls it off and takes it to Stephen to run it through the CASS....the problem is that it isn't calibrated right so he calls for MNM's gal run into the shop because she'd been calibrating all over the place and re-calibrates the thingy and hands it back to Paul who puts it back on the plane????? soooo "if only" all these Sailors were on the same carrier it could work like that?????

woo hoo!  POWER....it's such a wonderful thing!!! good for the yatlins' to be back in school !!

Texas reporting for hump day muster :-)

I have never heard Ryan refer to a sub specialty. He is working on the electronics for the communication equipment on the E-6B Mercury planes.

Last day at work this week. Finish up preparations and packing tomorrow and leave late Thurs/early Fri for OK.
Ready for a long weekend visit with our sailor :-)

Reds-what i mean is my Sailor is being trained on CASS (that big old gray thingy that diagnoses problems and that's about all i know).  MNM and Mommy's girls are being or have been trained to do calibrations.  MNM can explain it more thoroughly i think, when she sees that i brought up the subject.  it could be that only the ATI's have sub specialties...i am not sure.

Cindy - Ryan's TAD is working a store front in the workarea for all the different squads at Tinker. One of his buddies mops floors & cleans restrooms. He stated that some other buddies assigned to ships have had to do laundry or kitchen duty. Guess it just depends whats needed....

Connie - sub-specialty??

good morning girlies!  yes because of HIPPA we had to get conservatorship. and we would not have know to pursue the matter had we not had the advice of Sissy's very smart new Nurse Practitioner who insisted that we do this!!  even our attorney told us that our Nurse Practitioner has a well known reputation on being so knowledgeable and has attended her seminars.

yes Reds-graduating 9-13, advancement test 9-15 and then?.....hope he finds out soon! do you know Ryan's sub-specialty?...i must have missed it if you posted it before.
