Thanks for the info ladies!! I joined the Pensacola group. No worries on this hurricance business! I am on the east coast....the real concern now is the wind and power outages. We have had so much rain that additional water has no where to go. Plus the trees root systems are not as supportive with all the damp soil. I am hoping once it makes landfall Irene will loose some gusto!

Connie, I am very confident they are gonna take good care of our sailors...

When in Pcola, my son came home every holiday weekend unless he had Duty. Labor day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

He just had to put in an out of bounds chit with the travel details.

Take a Jacket to PIR, when we went in May they had the AC up so high the men were even freezing.

Thanks all! Yes, we will be driving out to PIR with about 6 boxes of Kleenex (with lotion) and a tube or water proof mascara! I am so proud of all of our sailors and other service-folk! I got a letter from my son saying he got his orders and is due to graduate A school Jan 12. We are kinda sad that he won't be home for the holidays, but I am hoping he will be able to skype us so we can at least see him. The good part is if he gets some leave time after graduation, he will be home in time for his birthday.
