Connie - applause you for watching out for Grandma and her checkook. Kuddos for a job well done!

Cindy - can I get a "HooYah" for your sailor son already calling you with his mailing address. That's wonderful that his transition is a smooth one...kuddos to his shipmates.

MNM - trying to stay cool here in Htown (TX) but these heat advisorys aren't helping at ALL....a weekly wet cool down would be nice....let me here an AMEN!

Marine Navy Mom, my sons deployment is for 6mo.  He'll be gone a little bit less time than from b.c. and A school, G.L and PCola.  We live in S.Calif. and what is great is that he's duty station is in central California, so he was able to come home and visit us (well more like the G.F). Sorry to hear all you ladies are having to deal with that God awful heat, we haven't started to feel it to bad here I only have the a.c. running to keep the guys redoing my bathroom happy (happy contractor, beautiful bathroom).

the brothers are both from here as i recall and the one that still lives here has a sketchy job at best....his brother in CA is a multi-millionaire!!!

hey Reds!!  HOOYAH Ryan....moving forward!!!

i keep looking out the window for any "funny business" but it's all quiet today : ) i wish whoever they are watching (the man from the foreign land?) they either carry them away in chains and leg irons or the SWAT team moves in and swoops him up and this crap is finally OVER!!!

safe travels Sherrill!!!!
