For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

TINK!!! this just scares the "who who" outta me!! yes "those" islands are a JOKE!! well at least Nassau and Aruba! and i'll throw in Cancun too!! once you step one foot out of the tourist areas you are NOT safe!!! yep we ended up on a bus coming from the beach area in Cancun and thought we were dern lucky to get off ALIVE....got some pretty harsh looks. in Nassau EVERYONE said oh just catch the bus to the Straw Market...going through the middle of the island where all you can see is poverty that breaks your heart! in Aruba oh sure beautiful but just just one block past the lovely Caribbean painted buildings.....scarey!!!
in San Juan we stayed at a resort far far from the city and when we went into the city we were with locals who knew exactly where to take us.
just give me a nice condo on the beaches of Alabama and i'm good with that.
i have come to discover that i am not a savvy traveler. so glad you are safe at home with us now!!!!

Hope all of you are having a fantastic weekend...we'll be celebrating a "certain" little girlie's birthday here. she thinks the fireworks are for her!!! ok got the presents wrapped and making grandmaw a fresh peach pie and then let the celebrating begin!!!
