Texas reporting for Hump Day muster ~~

We are still in need of some more rain here in Htown. Looks like our first strom is in the Gulf but headed towards Mexico.

Talked to R and he seems a little down with new duty station and all. He has his own room but no headmate for now...pretty quite, too quite for him!
I have encouraged him to take it one day at a time :-)

From one of my other groups....asking for support from ALL our military families:

Sgt. Yarbrough - 1,000 Card Challenge

On June 16th, 2011, Sgt. Josh Yarbrough, Marine, stationed in Afghanistan, was leading his men during a routine patrol (as routine as a walk in Afghanistan can be) and an IED was blown. Josh suffered severe injuries. He is now recovering at The National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
The battle for Josh is just as much mental as it is physical and the more support he feels and SEES the better his drive and determination will be. We want Josh’s room wallpapered with all of the love, encouragement and prayers we can muster.
Family, friends, friends of friends, co-workers, your church, your babysitter, your mailman…Everyone that I have reached out to has asked what to do and a card takes no time but can change a person’s day. We want to share as much love and support with Josh through these cards as possible.

We will keep a count as they come in… let’s see those numbers rise!!

Sgt. Yarbrough, Joshua W.
Ward 5
C/O Naval Medical Center

{{HUGS}} to you ALL :-)

TUESDAY muster....a tad bit early i think....up late working on updating my PIECE OF CRAP phone!!  Sissy's doctor's visit went well today and now we are on a 12 week schedule of discontinuing meds.  learning that it's easy to start meds but complicated to stop.  thank you all for the support and well wishes for our little Sissy girl and getting her to a healthier place.

well my girlies....our Sailors are all still moving forward. Red is at Tinker now and hope he settles in quickly!  is he there for C school only?

Tinkerbell-i sure hope you made it back from the islands....another day without you and we're sending out a search party!!!

Sherrill-FLA a desert in times of draught...wow now that is really weird!!  thanks for the "wacky fact" !!!

Happy Monday morning...

Connie - I read that this morning too; so very neat!!!

Mommy - I am so sorry for your loss! Having to make that decision is the hardest...we have done so in the past as well; different reasons but same outcome to end their suffering. Prayers for peace for you & your family!

Well R arrived at Tinker on Saturday. He appears to be all settled in and will start indoc classes at the shop this morning.
Said this base is much bigger than PNAS and most people have been there for a while but he will adjust.

Hoping for an easy transition!
