Wow! Thanks so much ladies! We are very proud of our "Boy" He is 30 years old and is quite a young man! He rode in the CFF "Cycle for Life" fundraiser it the memory of a close school friend ...she had CF and she recieved 2 new lungs the spring before the race (Oct 2010) sadly she rejected her lungs and passed in Aug 2010, 2 mo to the day before the race. So it was a very emotional event for him and he swore to her while she was so sick in the hospital that he would raise $3000.00 for CF and he raised $8830.00!! He has always been a motivated guy!

Connie...The floater would have to be attaching itself to the cornea or somewhere in the eye the blocks vision before they would operate and  that is quite rare. It used to be a similar procedure to cataract surgeries. They are called floaters because the just move around in the vitreous fluid in the eye. it basically a natural shedding process of the lining inside of the eye. I have them and mine are very small. I don't even see mine most of the time.

I just got done talking with B!! He is so psyched, he got his ATI! Which is what he really wanted. I even got his address so now I can send him some of his favorite goodies! Are there any things that I can't send or that they ask us not to send them (like in BC?) He loves my homemade white chocolate macadamia nut cookies!! Hmmmm .....come to think of it so does the hubs! I haven't made a double batch in a while...too hot here to bake during the day. !01 and 100 forecast today and tomorrow! At least we don't have to deal with the humidity! I love dry heat, but not over 100.......

Good Wednesday morning everyone,  SOOOoooo busy at work my head is spinning. I've got to find some me time to get caught up on all the fun. I'm planning a meet & greet Dinner on July 11 for the Memphis area, just check out the event page if anyones interested.

Had to drop my car off to get dried out from Monday's storm, UGHhhh I had popped my sunroof open to let the heat out, and then came along a mini monsoon. I'm trying not to worry they are saying it might be dry by the weekend. rrrrhhh.

good morning girlies!!!  i am thrilled beyond belief that my Sailor is taking good care of government property!!  GOOD ONE CC!!!

i don't know a lot about floaters but know several people who have them and like you mentioned...just leave them alone.  he tells me that the one he has is very aggravating so maybe once he gets it looked at they will recommend the same....is it true that if some thing is done for a floater it is just "sucked" out of the eye??????

reds-i say "Praise the Lord" he is taking care of himself.....as long as i live i will never forget the pure torment of knowing he was in BC with pneumonia...i cried buckets!!!!

Happy Hump Day Ladies.....

Connie - I agree with CC.....good that your sailor son is taking care of himself for your sake (concerned Momma) and for the military.

Prayers for some rain to smother these ongoing fires and to allow some relief for areas that are bone a$$ dry...like Htown ~ AMEN!!

Connie, I was an Optician for many years. Floaters are really more of a pain then a medical issue. Unless it is serious they used to leave them alone. I will be curious to hear what he finds and what they do, can you let me know the out come? So glad to hear  that your son is Taking good care of Gov't Property! (Meaning himself)

B is in firefighting class the past couple of days. I had to laugh when he said it was too warm for firefighting this morning on his post!!!

Have a great day all! Please keep thinking positive thoughts about all of these fires!!
