I'm giving up my July 4th weekend trip to Washington State, and taking the first week in August in stead. Seattle has a Seafair week, and they have a Guest Cruise offered to the Public. Keep your fingers crossed that we will get on. (riders are chosen randomly). Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Hey punkin...I have a brother that lives in Norfolk!  He was in the Navy many years back and was just released from the Army Nat'l Gaurd there because of his hearing. Just before his 2nd deployment to Iraq. I am kind of relieved , it always bothered me to think of his job as a Huge tow truck driver. He and his guys are the(were) the ones that went out at night without escort to tow all of the big tankers and tanks and humvee back to base. I always worried that he just didn't hear well even with his hearing aids!! So glad he is home!

Connie, It will be a long while before I will feel confident with showing any some of my muddy work! LOL! remember I am just learning!

Lions and tigers and bears!!! OH My... I played the scarecrow in the wizard of oz back in High School!! (That was njust last week, ya know!! LOLOLOL!)

Yummmm, Iwant some crab!! I love crab in any way shape and form! I cant get it except in cans of jumbo lump here in Co. But we do have wonderful rib eyes here! B actually dislikes steak because he says we had too much of it when he was growing up! Can you imagine?! Too much of prime cuts of Rib Eye???

Marine, I hope you like your journey into acrylics!! My teacher says that I should try them as well. I tend to want Instant gratification and that is not good for doing watercolor!! I sometimes end up with MUD instaed of a painting!! LOL1 But patience is one of the things I am trying to master as a watercolorist, Did you know that you can thin acrylics down to watercolor! The thing I love most about the technique is it's transparency. I just adore and am in awe of it all!

You all have a wonderful day! Take care and be safe!!

Marine and Cindy- I am begining to think they have one drunkin night and pick the names for some of these sqaudrons!! It took me 6 hours to realize the name was the same as my dog!!! And Marine-- steamed crab is awsome!! So tender! Love it! You are welcome to visit me in Norfolk any time and we will run up to the Naval Academy in Annapolis and have us some steamed crab and margaritas!!!
