awww bryters.....sorry for your tears.  July will be here before you know it and you'll be huggin' the stuffin' out of him!!!

my son called too.....navy pay messed up and he is LIVID!! nothing i could say would make him feel better. he got a total of $378.00 and included in that amount was $200.00 housing allowance.  well we know the $200.00 is wrong unless the Navy has started paying you to live in the barracks....NOT!!! hmmm $178.00????? wonder where's the rest of it????

our son left home for the Navy in Aug. last year....so if i am sobbing and crying on the first of Aug....i know you'll understand.

Happy Memorial Day everyone. When I talked to son today I cried like a baby, so bad I had to give the phone to his Dad. I'm not sure why today was so darn hard. Maybe because 1 year ago he graduated Boot Camp, and I really wanted to go to see my sailor this weekend, but Dad thought it was to soon. I told him I was going July 4th with or without him! I sure hope I'm not sobbing all day at work tomorrow.

Mommy-i am sending you a PM where i scanned the package of fabric sheets and yes it is for Inkjet printers....if you have laser maybe a friend would let you use their Inkjet? i want to say i got this at Michael's however i have had this package so long i am not sure.  i got a lot of different things to use when my niece was getting married and made custom "souvenir" t-shirts for all the children in the wedding party.

oh i am soooo "with you" on the NOLA trip!! i absolutely love it HOWEVER when we are there we are ALWAYS with sister Sandi or brother in law Keith who know the "lay of the land".  she'll do fine and the experience of "moving about and figuring things out" is always good for them.  i had to laugh about the "band-aid". once when we were taking our kids to Orange Beach some seal came loose around the windshield. it was annoying my husband to no end! i said "PULL OVER at the next Dollar Store" where i ran inside and bought a roll of Duck Tape. tore off a piece and taped down the pesky seal and away we went...no more flapping!!

Sailor Son did say that he was getting more training than the other two guys....so i think you are right!!!  and Mr. Stinky is outta there June 1 !!!! and actually he arrived in Oceana with NINE outstanding inspections that he never got to use while in Pcola.  they were pretty darn impressed with Mr. Clean!!! all of his inspections while in Pcola were "outstanding" except one....where they found a piece of lint on the air duct.

awww Mommy you are too sweet!!  the label....i made it!!  i found in my treasure trove of odds and ends some iron on transfer fabric!  i "designed" my label on the computer, inserted the transfer sheet and it worked perfectly!!  i cut each label as i need it.  mending the broken heart/twins' taxi driver....hope you get all your baby girls happy and where they need to be so you can get back to your pc project!!!

how is your Sailor Girl????? update us!!!!

my Sailor Son is doing well.  he's about to lose his stinky roommate and he is happy about it!!  he sent me pictures last night of his "clean side" vs Stinky's side and i must say he did not exaggerate!!! school is going well....but two guys from Pcola that he knows just arrived.  both ATIs who are training on CASS and will be finished BEFORE him....what the heck?  he talked to his Chief PO and even he says that this makes no sense at all!!!  any one hear of this before?????

Chris's gf left for norfolk at 3am this morn to spend the weekend with him. Long 8hr drive. I called her a few times to make sure she was ok.(hate a girl traveling by herself) I know im old fashioned. I sent her with a cooler full of his favorite foods. I cooked all week and  froze everything in meal size portions. he was starting to miss home cooking. Also sent boxes of pasta and sauce , he can cook himself. He was thrilled. Enjoy the weekend.
