For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

oh i almost forgot....Preakness weekend!! woo hoo! will definitely watch it on tv. thanks cindy for the reminder!! we missed the derby....we stood looking at each other when we realized it and couldn't believe it...of course i blamed my husband for it. HE SHOULD HAVE REMEMBERED FOR ME!! he's the one from Ky. hehehehe and of course we lied like dirty dogs to the family...."Oh wow did you see the derby?"...."well of course....it was AMAZING!"

Good Afternoon ladies! Hope all is going well for you all! Got the call from the hubby, he passed his final test, got 2nd in the class, and will graduate on Friday! I am so happy and proud of him! We are still waiting on orders, which in a breif he got today, was told that they are waiting on funding to issue those. So it's a time will tell!!!
I do want to say a big thank you to all of you for being supportive and understanding! The encouragement you give is something that will mean more than words can say!

reds, Sissy adores her brother. one day a toy broke and she asked me to fix it. it wasn't fixable and i told her so. she had a stern look on her face and said "CALL MY BROTHER!"....her Bubbie.....the "the fixer of broken toys". so sorry about the loss of your brother Jack and hope the memories give you great comfort.
yesterday me and "the sewing room helper" did great on the pillowcase project. HIT A SNAG when "my assistant" spied the Curious George material. very sweetly i heard "who does this belong to Mommy?" ok going to make one for her too!!
Diane i am 14 hours drive time away from Oceana. i have been to the area. several years ago with my husband to attend a business meeting. and another time to attend my Aunt Paddy's funeral in Williamsburg and then we drove down to Va. Beach. just beautiful !!!
