Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

good morning my girlies!!  the USS George H. W. Bush is DEPLOYED!!! Carrier Strike Group 2 under the command of Rear Admiral Nora Tyson, our very own, born and raised in Memphis and the first woman in history to command a strike group!!! this one grew up on some Memphis 'Cue...we KNOW she'll be good!!!  oh how i would love to have you all at my house for some barbecue and some of "the dad's" killer wings!!

hey mommas-no i won't get to go to the barbecue contest BUT i did get to spend the afternoon with my crazy relatives at an old auntie's funeral....awww mercy....i do love them so...the crazy ones are the best!! the old auntie was the craziest....red slacks, yellow shirt and pink straw hat and meaner than a junkyard dog...i was her favorite and she often told me so!!! so we said our good byes her today singing her favorite hymns.

Oh my. Marine/Navy sent me beautiful pics. Wish I could have been there. I am bursting with pride. Christopher is headed to Norfolk as I write this. Should get in aroun 9pm. He was honor grad, so he was so happy. Thanks all

still high and dry here although there is a lot of water in other areas.  sister sandi on her way back to NOLA where the water is headed.

our international annual barbecue cooking contest had be relocated off the river banks to higher ground and has been renamed "Come Hell or High Water Memphis in May Barbecue Cooking Contest"

Congrats to the Sailors graduating! and the proud mommas!!!

Texas(Houston) is in a world of hurt.....we haven't had any rain in over 100 days....SORRY, Connie & Bryters, I know that y'all are experiencing the complete opposite :(

Congratulations to Chris and marine/navys daughter on their graduation from C school this morning. They are then heading to Norfolk Va. Chris to work on land and she is heading out to sea. Cant believe over a year in the Navy has gone by

Happy Mothers Day! We spent the weekend in Marion Ark (just over the Mississippi) I took my life jacket (no joking). When we checked in to the hotel, I told the lady any room besides the first floor would be fine. then My husband had to tell everyone I brought it. I'm glad everyone found it funny.
