Cindy-hahaha made me think of "back in the day" of the coke bottles with the sprinkler tops our mommas used when they did the ironing!!!
well everyone i am glad to bring a smile to your face...life sucks some times doesn't it and i try to do all that i can not to let it ruin my day!
Sherrill i love your comment about the "meanest mother on earth". once my Sailor and i got into a pretty LOUD argument...oh you can bet he was the one acting kinda stupid at the time like all kids do....i said to him "i am truly sorry i am not the mother you wanted" and it stopped him DEAD in his tracks and he looked me in the eye and said "no you were the mother i NEEDED".
heck they won't even send me a letter for jury duty anymore....i think they've got my "number"....they see "hang 'em Connie" coming through the door and already know it's no use!!! strap on the leg chains and hand out the orange jumpsuits!!
well if/when the "big one" hits and i am floating down the mississippi i'll probably end up south of NOLA in deep deep Cajun Country. HOWEVER in 1812 when the last big quake hit, the river flowed backwards so there's no telling where y'all will find me!!!
while i never thought to tell my son that he might be facing imprisonment i did tell him this..."your Dad is the King around here and i am the Queen. that makes you a very lowly prince with very few rights within the kingdom"...awwww he just hated it when i said that!!!! you know that i know i can be meaner than a junkyard dog!!! hehehehe
Mommy-just last night Sailor Son was telling me of an older Sailor who is extremely fit...always working out.....weight perfect. however because of his "build" he was taped too and mandantory PT too ALL BASED on his neck measurement!!!. Sailor Son was pretty much outraged for the guy...but it is what it is....these screwy rules that "mess" with their heads. i have come to believe that most of these "screwy rules" are intentionally meant to mess with their heads. knock them a bit off course to see how quickly they can "steady" themselves and get back on track. tell your Sailor Girl she will be FINE, A-OK, THUMPS UP and throw in a OKIE DOKIE....tell her to take control of this situation!!! OWN IT....SHOW THEM THAT THEY CAN'T GET HER DOWN!!! oh Lord i am sounding like a Southern Preacher at a Revival!!!
i am not an "experienced mom" in NOTHING other than the two i have raised but you know what i mean....
