I just loved it when my son got to clean, it made up for all the times I yelled at him to clean his room.

Been away for the weekend.....

Cindy - Congrats on your son's graduation; Bravo Zulu to him!

Talked to R over the weekend and he is doing good in class. Instructor made in class leader last week - Yay for R! PT is pretty gruleing since he is in class with nothing but Aircrew & Marines but said he held his own - EXTRA YAY FOR R!!

Should get his GS cookie package this week....hopefully he shares some with his buddies :-)

Busy work week ahead and feel like I'm getting a head cold :(

hey Betsy---lovin' your profile picture!!! yes m'am tell your Sailor Son that he has a bunch of "aunties" cheering him on. and what a lovely lovely thing your sister in law's sister (wow that's a mouth full) did for your boy and he will surely enjoy having a "lifeline" to get outta there when he feels like he'd like a change of scenery.

Cindy-congrats on Paul getting orders....i'm here shaking in my slippers thinking my Sailor will be in the same situation as marine_navy's.....waiting and waiting and waiting.

marine_navy he said that's what he had been hearing...i just hate to hear when Sailors get into trouble....especially at this stage of their training!!! well heck at any stage...always keep that Sailor from the documentary "Carrier" in the back of my head.

3ds--echoing Cindy--how does he like it there?

Connie, thank you.  I will tell him that you are all pulling for him, as well.  I appreciate that.  I have told him that he has a lot of "moms" now and that I'm sure he will make all of us proud.  lol  That's pretty cool that your son's buddies took your son to dinner too.   Is McGuire's somewhere that I should check out when I'm there?

My son went to visit my sister in law's family in Crestview last weekend.  He had dinner with them and just hung out with their kids, (who are his age).  My sister in law's, sister is married to a recently retired Navy Warrant Officer and he wanted to meet my sailor.  They actually drove an hour and a half to pick up my son, took him back to their house and then drove him the hour and a half back to Pensacola.  It was so nice, especially since it wasn't really my son's family, but his aunt's family. They thought very highly of my son and told him they would come get him anytime he wanted them too.  :)

one of his buddy's parents came in to town to see their son for his birthday and they all went to McGuire's....Sailor Son ate a Wasabi burger.....hmmm....can't wrap my brain around that one...thinking HOT HOT HOT!!!
