technically he started I strand on the 3rd is my understanding but they had no instructor until last monday the 10th.  his instructor is a retired senior chief (i think he said) in his 70's and the instructor's last assignment was at Millington not far from our home. i believe Marine_navy's girl might have had the same instructor. there are 24 in his class with one marine-girl.  this is all i know.  i think there are other classes of I strand going on at the same time.

my Sailor Son has not mentioned any thing about 'what is next' and i remembered that Marine_navy's girl didn't know anything until after A school and until she got her orders and she waited a while for those to pop/drop whatever the term is.

maybe your girl has some 'inside knowledge' which would make sense to me....there seems to be not a lot of consistency in any rate on how things go exactly for each Sailor.

Well spk to chris this morn. Turns out he does know and go to the casinos. He happend to be there last night for the second time. He won 140 on the penney slots. He said they like to go there because as long as they are on the slots they drink for free (always working the angles) He said last time they went he only lost 10 dollars so he feels he is doing ok. Told him to watch out. Will he listen? who knows.

marine navy mom, what a great idea!

joyce,  sounds like your sailor is doing well.

thanks for all the congrats for my son and the tip about Biloxi.   My sil is from Pascagoula, MS, so if he ends up in C school there, I'm sure she will give him all the dirt on Biloxi.  lol  She's his godmother and like a 2nd mom to him, so knowing her, she might even get some spies out there to check on him, if he goes there.  LOL

adopting a school sounds great. I will have to ask Chris about it. He was on duty last night. Will speak to him tommorrow. Said something about a bar tonight. Always busy LOL

my son is in Biloxi, I havent heard about the casinos yet. He supposedly is saving for a car. He wants one for when he is in VA so he can occasionally come home.

C school has been going well for him. He loves night classes.

My son is pretty happy today because he found out that he will start ATT classes tomorrow.  He is a "day sleeper" which suits him just fine.  lol   He said his class is from 1500 to 2300.   He also volunteered to be the class leader.

It all depends on the 'platform' they are being trained for where they go for C school...  if Lemoore then you can bet it is for the Growlers or Prowlers...
