whew orders have started a-poppin'!!! i am thrilled for all of you!!!
Monica-what's his 1st choice?
and what amazes me about you marine_navy is that you think you're a 'newbie'...wow you always put out some great info!!!
David has a test in AWAT wed. and the final on friday. so now i guess i'll start the preliminary stressing on him getting started in A school after the stand down.........and all the while keeping fingers/toes and eyes crossed hoping he eventually goes to Biloxi!! he said the strangest thing yesterday....he saw all the orders coming in for the next batch of graduates. the next time we talk i'll try to get more clarification on that. but that's what he said........he said that the need for AT's is everywhere.
marine_navy-i never really understood why your girl has to report back during the stand down...are they going to start C school now?
marine_navy will send you a private message. mexican---yummy my fav!!! getting big David and Sissy to the dinner table now and will send message as soon as i can. hug your girl for me!!!!
thank you birkma-i deleted the post thinking that i sound too much like a crazed lunatic worrying about something i have no control over. i hope it will all work out.
got David a really neat carry-on bag for a Christmas gift and he says with his backpack and seabag he should be "good to go" and i sure hope so. and the 'bomb'...well it was one of my own making in his room when i did the 'dumpster dive' looking for his stuff. he packed large bags of stuff so heavy i can hardly scoot them. i told him at Thanksgiving i had made a a huge mess of things and he sweetly said (and this was soooo uncharacteristic of him because he doesn't want ANYONE touching his stuff) "it's ok Mom, i'll straighten it all out when i get home". what 'alien-invader' has taken over my boy?????
oh marine_navy---that 'rat pack' boy of mine!!! he keeps everything...he is in for a very rude awakening on downsizing....i keep telling him 'keep only what you can carry on your back'. he told me at Thanksgiving he saw a guy leave base with SEVEN suitcases!
matt's mom-thanks for the info...love learning about new navy stuff.
marine_navy-thanked you on the 'big' page and will thank you again....he'd like being in ECHO and i hope he gets to go there. when we were in Orange Beach i made sure he had his OWN room in the condo...he loved it!!!
