Good evening my girlies and thank you Ms kk for the Sonday wishes!

kk, Sailor Brian was in the same PIR group as my son.  he was diagnosed with leukemia just weeks after his baby daughter was born.  Brian was just getting started in his Navy life.  he was a "home town hero" in his community.  dearly loved and respected....the kind of man that was just what the Navy needed. he was totally devoted to his baby girl.  you could see from his pictures with Elaina....a look that said "i was born to be your daddy".

Momma Sharon just called and we cried together....like we have done for over a year now. She's on her way back to Pa.

Mommas, Sailor Brian VanFleet passed away this morning. i haven't talked to Sharon yet.  i pray for the strength to dry my own tears and hopefully have the words to give her some measure of comfort.  i know that God has had his arms wrapped around all of them throughout this.  She taught me so much about her faith and her strength.

Good morning ladies!
I have to do some bragging but it's not about my Sailor but rather MNM's Sailor. My son is going down the same Navy path as her and when I asked for info on Keesler not only did the wonderful MNM helped me but her daughter (amidst her illness) jumped in and sent an email detailing the ins/outs, do's/don'ts, expectations, etc, etc, etc. I was so impressed that she took the time and provided such great info that I had to brag about her. Hip Hip Hooray to MNM's Sailor!!!! Prayers that she gets through all her medical issues cause this is one Sailor the Navy definitely needs to keep!

Sherrill - enjoy your day with the kids, safe travels back home and I'm glad you teamed up with the DIL. Your son may be stubborn and think he doesn't need any help but with two women in his life wanting to take care of him he doesn't stand a chance!

Good Morning Ladies! The critters are out stirring this morning....have already seen 2 turkeys, 1 deer and a momma raccoon with her 4 babies...toooo cute! Unusual to see raccoons during daylight hours but I think the little ones were having so much fun playing they didn't want to go in for bedtime!

Enjoy your day everyone!

Sherrill - sounds like your son is finally getting the care he needs. Continued prayers for a full recovery.

Got a question for anyone who's been to Keesler AFB in Biloxi. We're taking J down there this weekend. Will we be able to drive on the base like at PNAS? I hate the thought of dropping him off at the main gate with all his stuff! Also, any good restaurants down there?

Connie - we can't go thru Memphis without stopping for some good BBQ, any suggestions? And I'd love to have some wonderful Navy Mom company if you're free on Monday.

Have a great day all!

Sherrill, thanks for checking in with us.....we were all wondering what was happening or rather didn't happen!  i guess getting x-rayed seven ways from Sunday will at least give the surgeon a verrrry comprehensive study of his wrist and that should help.  continued prayers for all of you.

Smurf Vikings....i LOVE it!!!!
