candirad - your son is in A school, right?  Have you not had much communication with him since he arrived in P'cola?  {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to you, those "missing my sailor" blues can be rough

I was just wondering if the moms out there get less communication after Boot Camp?  :(  I know they are busy, but it's like an empty nest syndrome.

Rosemary - I am right by Lemoore.  I do not know any answers to your questions either, but it is really really hot here.  Yesterday was like 103 so I bet he is really warm - not sure what he's used to.  Hey ask him who his supervisor is - I have a good friend who is a supervisor (not sure of his title - right under Senior Chief) and that would be a kick if he is his supervisor.  I could get more scoop for you from him.

Rosemary - my son is not attached to a squadron so I'm not much help with that stuff. As for leave, well that's never a guarantee but I'll keep my fingers crossed your son gets to come home before heading out. Has he requested any leave yet? Don't worry about the training or experience the Navy makes sure our sailors know what they're doing. When my son got to his ship he went through indoc and then had quals to get thru. I think training is routine...gotta make sure they don't forget any of that stuff they learned in bootcamp!

Hi all! It's been quite a while since I have been on here and not too often at that. My son is in LeMoore learning to work on F18's and I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me about C school? I know he missed going on a water? detachment with his squadron because of it and now we don't know if he will get to have leave before he goes on deployment for 10 mos. :( Also, this will be his first deployment and since he has missed the water detachment will he be trained or get any experience on a ship before he goes? I appreciate if any of you Moms whose son has been in a while could advise me on this stuff.

Happy Friday Everyone!

It's been rather quiet on here...hope all is well with each of you and your sailors.  Mine recently left on deployment and was ready to head back out to sea.  It's so comforting knowing he loves his job and the Navy life.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Good Morning Ladies!

Candirad - so nice to hear from you!  How's things going for you and your sailor?  Is he liking P'cola?   I had a wonderful Mother's Day....on Friday I received flowers & chocolates from my sailor....I cried but they were tears of pride & joy...well a lot of those tears were because I got to missing him so much!  Sometimes it really sucks having him so far away....but he's very happy and is enjoying his Navy life so that keeps me happy too.

Hope everyone has a great day!
