Penny, he had a charcoal gray convertible Mustang and totaled it about two weeks before bootcamp.  He still loves that car!  Even if its "dead" and gone!  LOL! (must be a guy thing)  I told him he needed a "72 Mazda pickup that will last only two years, after that, no telling how long it will be before he touches land again.  Why pay for something you cant drive?

Hope he is doing well, Sandy.  Heard he is looking at a Mustang !!!  That should about cause my son's brown eyes to turn green.  lol

ACTmom - What will they be doing in Japan?  My son is trying to buy a car.  He can come home on the weekends but has to report back every night by midnight.  Its 109 miles one way - ugh!  Bur atleast I get to see him.. For now, we go see him every other weekend.

Stopping in.. haven't been here for a while.  Just returned from Pensacola last Friday to spend time with my sailor.  He graduates A school tomorrow, but his leave has been put on hold, because he is headed to Japan, and everything is on hold for a while, so not sure when he will be coming home yet.  Oh well, he's in Florida, and although, he's not too happy about leave being put on hold, there are far worse places that he could be.  Hope everyone is doing ok.  We've got a great group of sailors!

Had a great visit with Sailors from DIV054 who are at Pensicola Fl. for A school. What a great group of Sailors. We had a ball and they did too getting off base for the weekend is a treat for them. The beach was beautiful and I didn't want to leave! This was soo much better than the few hours we had in GL.

Hi Penny.  Yes, Corpsman is a medical position.  She will be a "Navy Nurse."  She'll have her fourth test on March 10.  She says it's very intense...and much harder than boot camp!

Received our dvd yesterday of graduation, played it over and over - our son is anxious to see it since they didn't get to see the ceremony. Just finished his second week of school.
