Thought it might be nice for everybody to say where they are staying for PIR as a means of knowing who will be in the same place, taking the shuttles, carpooling, etc. and maybe even getting together…Continue

Thought it would be great to learn where everybody's sailor is heading to after PIR.  This can be a great way to open new conversations at the M&G and also make new friends that will be going…Continue

I hope everyone gets calls, but I don't know...my son sounded really awesome and excited. Wasn't upset that they lost the cup and was glad his brother division did if they couldn't. Was angry at a few fellow recruits for being sore losers...but he said their RTC handed them energy drinks after and told them he was very proud of them. Especially the way they kicked butt...in the tug of war. The RTC told them they were a bunch of Neanderthals. Hopefully that was in a loving way. My only disappointment in the call is my son has begun talking like a sailor...he would never have dared to use those words with Mom or I before. But I guess I can live with that for the other great changes.

Congratulations to DIV 058 for winning Captain's Cup!!!  They will be able to carry in the much-sought-after 'Captain's Cup Flag'  during graduation!

Sorry on the phone with my wife...I missed three calls from my boy, forgot my phone this morning! Thank god I got this last one. He said he may get to call me back. He said they have 6 kids in div.57 who are struggling with the swimming test and they are working all weekend...to try to pass by Monday so they can go on to Battlestations...Hope it works out for everyone. All but one recruit passed academics first try...and Penny's son stayed up all night working with the one who didn't...he passed the next morning. Penny now you know why your boy got my personal trophy. He said he still can't figure out how 57 does well...no team work, but they have all the flags whatever that means. I will post more if it comes to me...congrats to all the teams especially 58 for a great day!
