Thought it might be nice for everybody to say where they are staying for PIR as a means of knowing who will be in the same place, taking the shuttles, carpooling, etc. and maybe even getting together…Continue

Also...DIV. 57-58 battle stations is Monday night. One of the Petty Officers told him and a couple of others the wrong date...thought they were in a different division.

Marchel; that is too funny!  She said I would not believe how much she is eating.  That is going to be our biggest expense when go out to eat in GL; feeding her  LOL... can't believe she gained 17 pounds and mabye even more by now she said...I wish I can say the same for Richelle,  she will pay the money to go on the computer.  She checked her balance and is already talking about buying laptop when she arrives in FL.  She bought her pictures (they take it out of their pay)  $201.00 ( the $140.00 package) she said she got the DVD and Keel book, plus she bought a frame.  Of course we will be reimbursing her for the pictures; but that's one less thing to worry about.  Can't wait to see them.

My son said all the div would be in captain’s cup today- he said they all sign up for events they can do well...  then he told me he’s playing volleyball!  We laughed because he’s not the greatest at volleyball - he’s a basketball guy.  He said their were 2 others in his div who were tall with a great shot who would be playing basketball in a shootout style competition.  He said he was also on the relay team- 4 girls and 4 boys.  He said they had t-shirts made for their div as did the other divisions and they got to design them.  He said its kind of like field day at junior high school.  :)

He sounded so excited.  He can't wait to see us next week.  He said he has lost weight, but is a lot more toned.   Maybe I should go to bootcamp :)  He said his division is ready for Battlestations and he can't wait to call us back to say "I'm a Sailor".  He's spent the rest of time talking about all of the great people he has met and the new friends he has made.  Hats off to all of your wonderful SRs.

Did all divisions participate in Captain's Cup, or just those that are now "Sailors"?

Fawn & Karen- My son said 053 was so in the running for Hall of Fame as well!  It’s funny how they all assess each other.  He also said they had Captains Cup in the bag - he said the girls are better in our div cause they pull the same weight as the guys!  He said he was really having fun and the way to make it was to make the best of every minute no matter what task they put you on.  I am still on cloud nine!  When I saw the “847” number on my phone I was so excited and we both in unison yelled “I’m a Sailor”... such fun!  Seems to be lots of complaints about the “under garments”, lol.  He begged me to bring 8 pair of boxers!  He said the blues were itchy and he really liked the whites better.  I would have called it the other way...  Will be praying for the divisions facing BS21 in the coming days, it sounds like they will enjoy the experience - my son said it was long and fun!  I asked him if he could get on the computers to FB/email, etc.  He said NO WAY mom, that costs $9.00 an hour and I’m not wasting that much money - $9.00 would have never bothered him before...  I love it!
