Thought it might be nice for everybody to say where they are staying for PIR as a means of knowing who will be in the same place, taking the shuttles, carpooling, etc. and maybe even getting together…Continue

Well after two hours on the phone with an awesome rep and the fraud dept conferenced in, we got her phone restored and my plan back to the way it was.  He gave me $30.00 off my bill and free bonus minutes for peak time.  Also, the rep called me today to tell me he called the store in FL and the associate and manager were out today.  He thinks it was a mistake, however, he is calling again tomorrow to speak to his manager and have the associate trained and coached better and will call me with an update.  I can't say enough about this representative from Verizon;  he stayed with me the entire call with a rep from the Fraud Dept.... if he had transferred me, I don't believe it would have went as smoothly.  Sigh of relief.  Awwww :) I finally got off the phone with at 1:00 a.m.!!!!!

gvnavydad - Thanks for the suggestions.  She spent about $100 on the apparel and $150 on the frames.  That's alot to just forget about!

Sandy - nice picture, not sure how I feel about that particular one, don't hate it but don't love it either. Glad mine is holding off.

Karen - I would be on the war path in a big way. Had to stop & think for a moment but mine got T-mobile (which I know nothing about because I don't live in civilization) ;-) so I know we aren't the offenders.

Sandy, I think with rose colored glasses on, I can see the "I love mom"  LOL!  I'm not crazy about the tats either, but that one is a smart looking one.  Similar to one my sailor picked out.  I just can't picture it on my sailors arm though, he is so small!  Maybe a quarter size would look in proportion to his arm size, but then, what's the point, right?  LOL!

gvnavydad - I feel the same way!  The size of a quarter - I might can handle!  LOL!

BTW Sandy...I hate tatoo's - though if he is going to do it, that one looks as good as I could hope for. Especially if it is about 1/4 the size.

Deana - I would post the situation on the Recruit Training Command Facebook page - they are pretty good about helping out. If they can't help search Skipper Malfitano on facebook and send him a private message. I believe is is second in command of the base and he is very helpful. He should steer you in the right direction.

Ok all of you: Here is a picture of the tattoo our Sailors want.  My son sent it to my husband.  I'm not sure I'm ready for this.  Nowhere does it say "I love Mom!"

I need to check-in here more often!

Penny - thank goodness our kids made it safely before that massive storm.

Sandy - you are a gem, thanks for the offer! He is feeling better now and even made it to his favorite place - Circuit City! We plan on going to SC in April - yeah!

Karen, I would also call the mall management and the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint. That is terrible.

Hi again, all.  My Sailor finally "classed-up" yesterday after the terrible storms in GL last week.  She is in Corpsman School right across the street from the training side.  She accidentally forgot to grab a bag full of division t-shirts and sweatshirts that she ordered for herself and us and the expensive frames for her pictures.  She left them under her bunk in her old compartment (053).  She went back on Saturday, Jan 29, and everything was cleaned out.  She left her name with a Petty Officer (I think) but she still hasn't received her stuff.  Just wondering if anyone knows what else she can do or who she can contact.  Do you think they would just throw that stuff away?
