Hikermom - I'll be going to Goose Creek Saturday to eat sushi with my Sailor for lunch. Is there anything your Sailor needs or is there anything I can help you or him with? I'm sorry he's not well. If so, just let me know. Leave me a message! He is also welcome to join us for lunch if he wants. I'm here if you need me!
Our son made it to Goose Creek - his flight left at 0600 Tuesday morning and he said they were one of the last flights out before the big snow storm hit. Unfortunately, now he is very sick with a high fever.
Div 58 mom at the Residence Inn Saturday morning: I apologize for not finishing our conversation on Saturday. I was so focused on getting all the train details and I had to get back up to the room where my 80 year old mom was. Sorry if I was abrupt.
Can I tell you all that we (NorCal) are supposed to hit 80 degrees this weekend?!
Hello everyone, it has been a few days since I have been on. Just changed my name to reflect my Sailor. Now I am a Proud GSM mom.
Glad to hear that mostly everyone made it home safely.
gvnavydad so sorry to hear that you got stuck in chicago. I am praying that you will make it out of GL soon!!
I have been able to talk to my Sailor everyday since he moved over to GL A school, it has been wonderful. He has a cell phone now and he texts me every night. He is doing well, just says he is bored because he is used to the structure he had during bootcamp. He is still in indoc and since the storm he had class dismissed early then cancelled. Hopefully they will get back on track soon.
KLP I am so happy for you and your husband. Good luck with the move to San Diego!!
Good luck with everything KLP!
gvnavydad~ looks like you will have to start looking for housing if you don't get out of there soon! LOL! How aggravating, especially since you can't even spend time with your sailor! That would make me crazy! It would have been nice to have been in a better place if you were unexpectedly going on vacation, huh? Hopefully you will get a flight out really soon!
