My Sailor and his new wife are driving home today to do laundry and leave me the GrandKitty. They leave Friday to go visit her parents in Californina. 10 days with the GrandKitty, little sister will love this! I havent told her yet!
My sailor left on Saturday morning for Sasebo, Japan. Says the base is nice, and it has all the comforts of America. Downtown Sasebo is pretty awesome.
I am so happy with that response.
Penny, She is ASAN right now. She is finished with A and C school and working. She said she is still taking some new classes now. She has shore duty for 2 yrs and will be assigned a ship then. Originally she was going on the Eisenhower but there were no female racks available so she got her first choice, San Diego, by default. LOL
Well our Sailor has been in San Deigo over 2 months and had Indoc yesterday! LOL She is getting the tour of the city on Friday and is excited. She loves the east coast. We miss her but we are happy she is doing well. Promoted to E3 and studing for the Petty Officer test. Its nice being able to breath easier because we can talk anytime!
ACT- thats great to hear your son is doing
Glad to hear you are settling in good KLP. Would love to see San Diego sometime.
Sandy~ I think about bootcamp all the time, especially with son out to sea, it feels sort of like it again. Does it seem like it was a long time ago to all of you. The time is just flying by too fast! We will all be coming up on a year in no time! My son is out to sea 39 straight days so far. He is sounding better every day. He says he is sick of seeing the ocean. LOL! He was excited when they crossed through the Sunda strait, because they finally got to see LAND! Funny how you start to appreciate the small stuff, huh? They are somewhere down in Australian waters right now. I think it's so exciting to follow their journey! The ships keep great updates on their facebook pages with pics, so you really get to follow along with them. I am so appreciative of that!! Hope you are all staying cool this summer. Going to be some record highs around here the next couple of days! UGH!
