You're right Cindy...they are great! Something that incredible deserves great pictures. I have to say that every sailor I encountered over this weekend was amazing...so polite, honorable and proud. We got our boy all weekend and it flew by...I almost feel guilty, with so many who had so little time with their sailors. No doubt the tears, tears of pride...but still tears none the less could float a battleship. Good luck to all of you and especially your sailors. I couldn't be more proud of all of them. BTW There were so many of you praying for the six swimmers...I thought I should mention. Two past their test on prior to battle stations and went through and were there with all the sailors at PIR. Another who I was fortunate enough to meet passed his swim test Thursday. Went through Battle Stations Thursday night and graduated Friday. He was not able to take part in PIR but the smile of his mother and he was as large as any I saw. Here words were perfect, he didn't get to perform; but it doesn't matter, He fought through it and made it! The three others all still get the chance to complete the swim test and battle stations with one of the next PIR groups. Hooyah! and Bravo Zulu to all of your sailors.

Back home today.  We only got Friday with our sailor, and then saw him off at the airport yesterday morning.  Have been an emotional wreck, crying off and on.  He is in Pensacola now, but will now be held back a month for classes start.  At least he got to Florida before that happened.  Loved meeting the ones that I could.  I think that me and Alisha are going to have a long journey together.  I have new Navy family.  The Navy lodge was GREAT!  Going to look into having my sailor get me one of those mattresses and pillows through the Nex catalog.  They were the BEST! So glad you are getting to enjoy your sailors longer.  I'm thinking that I need to check into a flight to Pensacola next month for a weekend.  One day went just way too fast!

Surprised my sailor by being in the parking lot waiting for him before he called =). PIR was totally amazing & I've been an emotional wreck...my turn to break out in tears out of the blue. Killed me when his dad took him back last night.

As gvnavydad reported....PIR is the BEST, right?  Hope all are enjoying great time with their new sailors!

I am sure all will agree...the only thing that was better than PIR, was spending time with our Sailors. I am one very proud Navy Dad! So glad that while it looks like the Navy hasn't been feeding him...my biggest fear, that they would steal his kindness and sense of humor...was certainly not realized! What a fun day with our Sailor
