This is the final test for the recruits before they become sailors.  It is an overnight drill held on a ship replica made by Disney, so it is very realistic....the recruits face every challenge that…Continue

DadlnValley: What a wonderful Christmas gift for each of you!  I bet no present could replace a personal letter from him!

Deb:  My son LOVED the food at bc.  He is a healthy eater when given a choice.  Loves veggies, etc...they feed them well there!  Even in the galley where he is stationed, he said the food is good.

What is significant to me about that is that Grad and Go recruits are those STAYING at Great Lakes for A school. My impression is that all recruits whose A school is somewhere other than Great Lakes are not considered Grad and Go.

Laura grumpy:  The "embarrassment" the RDC's express to them is all motivational to get them to perform better...and they will!

Just wanted to pass along some info.  This is from the facebook page for the Recruit Training Center so I'm assuming they know what they're talking about:)

"Grad & Go recruits are those recruits who will be checking into their A School at Great Lakes right after graduation on Friday. That process can take up
to five hours. Once they finish checking in, they will find out if they
are granted overnight leave or not for the remainder of the weekend."

Got another letter from our son today.  He says everyone in Div 053 & 054 is grad & go.  Hope everyone is doing good today. God Bless you all! I look forward to reading all the latest news about your children.

My daughter is leaving for Pensacola on Saturday.  We are going to meet her at airport.  She ask that we bring her cell phone.
