For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi ladies! Hope everyone had as MERRY Christmas as possible! Our Christmas was lonely but nice! Gotta make sure our daughter has as normal life as possible! She did however call out for her daddy a few times today... :( But tonight is killing me....Where we live we are getting a white Christmas as we speak here in NC! And I am so down about my husband not being here to share in this! I got a letter on Friday and he knew I would get it around Christmas so he wished me a Merry Christmas...I don't have the same feelings as a mother has for her son, but I sure do know today was VERY hard to keep my smile on...Especially with our daughter being sick as well! All this at once is too much!! But enough of my pitty party! Congrats to all of you who got your Christmas calls!

SherryYmom, no call here either. It's such a bummer and I agree that I just keep thinking how sad he must be that its frustrating. We have to stay strong though knowing only 33 days to go. Merry Christmas to all and let's keep our sailors in our prayers

Now shooting will get alot of them excited ... Especially my son. He loves going out to the shooting range with his buddies. Can't wait to hear how he does.

no call here today but i met another mom at a family dinner tonight. Her son went through boot a couple months ago and she new exactly why i was clinging to my phone lol. Still hopefull for this week! He is prob getting excited i think they are starting shooting this week!

Well...here we are at the end of our first Christmas...no phone calls for DIV 55 so far. I am missing my son so bad I almost can't sit here, but I know we are over half way through! I am so ready for the holiday's to be over! I am thrilled for you all who have received calls! How did they sound?? Did they say everyone was ok?? Were they in good spirits! I think the worst part for me is thinking that my son might be sad today! That bothers me more than anything. I know he is where he wants to be and that more than anything this is the ultimate gift he could receive. He waited so long In DEP and to be shipped out early was an amazing gift to him. He was so ready to get this going! Mom on the other hand.....wasn't quite ready. LOL.. Oh well.....this is just the beginning! Good night ladies!! Thank you so much for your support and encouragement! You all are amazing!!!

thanks kathy and sandy but my biggest problem is that my phone is not working and i dont think any t-moblie store will be open tomorrow and i dont want to miss a call if my hubby does call
